Can find a nice used one for 5k
A guy I knew traded his old Club Car in (I think a mid to late 2000's model) because he didn't want to replace the batteries. The guy he traded it in to quoted me just north of $5k for the cart plus installing a lithium battery. I could probably get all of my money back from that cart even after using it for 2 years. Lithium batteries are the way to go in golf carts.

Avoid the evolution brand. Poorly made.
Best I ever had was club car. Solid quality

Really depends on what you want to spend. and how old/new you want it. Id look into the differences in ezgo/clubcar/yamaha. decide iff you want a 36v or a 48 volt.
you can save money getting a course cart and putting your own back seat, suspension, tires on it.

Interesting. I wonder how to hear about courses selling these.

Noticeable difference I assume?

Couldn't agree more. Went to Ascension Golf Cart and they kept pushing it on me. It looked like poorly made Chinese junk. Ended up buying one from CartTransformers

I’d go 48v or newer 36v.
I have an old 36v.
Truth be told I should’ve just bought a SxS when I bought my cart 6 years ago before prices got out of hand.

IMO stick with the big 3 club car, ezego, yamaha. There are a lot of new china brands that look good and have cool features but if the company goes away so does all your parts and warranty. The big 3 have been around for ever. 3k if you want one to rebuild one how you want it, 5-10k for one already rebuilt nicely, 10k+ for a new one. New led acid batteries are 700-900ish and they suck. You can test batteries but letting them fully charge then let them rest for 1hr then test the voltage of each one. Read up how to properly maintain them or you will be replacing them again soon. That means checking water often, charging FULLY once you start a charge (takes a long time), do not discharge past 50%, short range. If you can get a lithium it takes 1/2 the time to charge, no water, can convivence charge, lighter/smaller, longer range and more pep.

Buy Club Car or E Z Go, parts are much easier to come by than the hundred other brands mostly made in China. Also, buy one with Lithium batteries, they are lighter (because you only need one vs six in a 48v) and last many times longer than lead acid. If it doesn’t come with a lithium, it’s fairly easy to upgrade yourself.

Damn
Ok so lithium for sure. I've noticed most listings don't mention what type, glad I asked this thread, I'll make sure to look into that. Saw a few 48v EZGOs near me from 2018ish for $3500, but they don't have the rear seat. Looks like I can add that for $400ish myself.
Thanks guys

Its not overly hard to fix them up yourself if the bones and wires are good and if you are a little handy and have some tools. If you are on facebook look for a group called golf carts modified, wealth of info. Depending on your area you can probably find someone in that group with a shop that can build you want you want. Also an online forum is buggies gone wild. Its not hard to switch from the standard led acid batteries to a lithium. They are a little pricy but IMO worth every penny.
Mine is a 72v conversion among other things but I can do 45 and pull wheelies if I want. Can also probably go 60+ miles on mostly flat lands and normal speeds. I never checked but I hardly have to charge it when I take it out hunting.

We have a Club Car Precidence that is mainly used for beach fishing. It's an 8 mile round trip, about half on pavement and the other half beach sand. Old arsed lead batteries still make the trip easily. ONCE. We got cocky a few months ago and had to push it all the way back to pavement when we tried 2 trips in a day. Can't wait to replace those things.

Buy used from a place that maintains cars for a golf course.
Shop around, prices vary.
If you or your spouse are short or have knee or hip problems, test them to see which are easier to enter and exit.

Georgia based company.

Lithium battery.
All lithium batteries are made in China.
I bought the monarch 6 seater new for $14k.
Street legal with top speed around 37.
They can program to lower speed and help battery life.
