Remake Fallout: NV and Morrowind on the Skyrim/Fallout 4 engine
Modders are already doing Morrowind with Skywind/Morroblivion
Bethesda doing an official release would sell like crazy.

I think once MS acquired Obsidian and Bethesda, all of the Fallout fans have been hopeful for this. I was praying for a FO3 remake with the 4 engine, but I was recently able to get 3 to play on my PC, so I'd be game to just get a NV remaster since I never finished it.
Who knows what MS will do with all of it. Faith is at an all time low with them.

The new games take a while. Give us the remakes in the meantime. Use that MS money for some good.

Agreed. With the Amazon show getting such good reviews there's a whole market (including me) that would love to play the old Fallout games but don't want to play something outdated.

I've been seeing a lot more Fallout 4 videos on my youtube feed lately, most of them are fairly recent videos so there are new people just starting Fallout 4 at least.
To be fair though, I do still watch a lot of Fallout lore videos.

I think the FO4 jumped like 1700% in popularity after the series was released, if I wasn’t in a timed grind for a different game I’d be playing a lot more

It's amazing how badly Bethesda fumbled by not having anything to tie to the release of the show, and no, Fallout 76 doesn't count.

I was shocked a new game launch or announcement did not accompany the show release.

I would love a remake of Morrowind. I remember seeing it get reviewed on Toonami as a kid and that was my first Elder Scrolls game.

We were hopeful, but they didn't have to. People flocked to existing Fallout games, including 76, which is what they really wanted. The next gen update, regardless of how you feel about it, was another release. I was happy for it so I could resume my level 90 playthrough on PS5.

Mostly positive, if minor, for PS5. Mediocre for Xbox. Disastrous for PC.
With that said, Bethesda has announced that there will be an update… to the update… coming out on the 13th. So we’ll see if they can salvage things a bit.

I have minimum expectations for Bethesda at this point. After Todd came out and said people didn't like Starfield because it was "too different" from Skyrim, I've lowered those expectations even further lol

Like I mentioned in another thread, Bethesda seems to fundamentally not understand why people fell in love with Fallout and Elder Scrolls to begin with, which is why they can't seem to understand why people didn't love FO4 and Starfield.
People loved Oblivion, in spite of everyone looking like potatoes and combat sucking arse, because it told such incredible stories in an amazing world. People loved Fallout New Vegas, in spite of it being a bug filled game set in a desert fricking wasteland, because it told such incredible stories in an amazing world. You'd think that Todd and crew would do a little introspection over the fact that most people like FO:NV better than FO3 and try to figure out why that is (spoiler alert: it's the fricking stories and world). Instead, they keep insisting that if they make it shiny enough with gunplay close enough to Call of Duty, people will fall in love with their games.
They fricking won't. Tell impactful stories and build interesting worlds, you fricking moron, Todd.

Take all of the criticism that Starfield got and realize it's a fine line they have to walk. "More of the same Bethesda" to "not enough like their old games". They set out to make something brand new, it didn't hit with some, i'm 50/50 even though I have almost 150 hours in the game. It wasn't for everyone.
But I don't feel any trepidation when it comes to Fallout and Elder Scrolls. They'll do just fine with those.
Also....I wish they would be able to get away from Microsoft. They're just poison to any and every company they get their hands on.

I haven't played Stafield yet, because I'm not willing to pay anything close to retail for it, so all I know about it is second hand. With that said, the biggest critique I've heard of it was that the stories, from sidequests to main quest, were just boring and forgettable. If that's true, I'm very, very concerned about the future of both FO and ES.

It is or was free with Gamepass. I played it through and it was ok. It got repetitive very quick and the story wasn't good.
A so-called space and planet exploration game where you have to cutscene to take off and land your ship and no planet travel methods is inexcusable. They couldn't even be bothered to throw in a Star Wars speeder bike knockoff

I agree it would sell like crazy but it be better if they remade fallout 1 and fallout 2 and release them on consoles and introduce those to console players who never played the original fallout games and to new fans that have got interested in playing the fallout games cause of the success of the tv show.
