You can lead a horse to water, but............

Hard to say I don't like this. I miss the days when the Rose Bowl meant something.

Any lawyer will find holes in this. Jayden Daniels could’ve said he was “injured” for the bowl game and there would be a lawsuit if his NIL wasn’t paid out.
I wish there were better stipulations for those accepting money from a collective rather than those who actually are act in the spirit of what the NIL was supposed to represent.

I don’t really believe this. Who would benefit from this?

If true, an agent may require the NIL contract to pay a premium on the insurance policy protecting the player against catastrophic injury during the bowl game.

Something really needs to be done. The combination of NIL and Transfer Portal are just unchecked free agency. I mean even the so called Professionals have contracts that they have to adhere to if they want to play and get paid. The situation is becoming untenable real fast.

I dont understand this.
1. Who could require this? NIL deals are supposed to be 3rd parties.
2. What player would sign a contact where any significant portion of their NIL is based on 1/13 games?
3. how do you enforce it?

Use the damn Mayo bowl trophy to drive their point home?

This would be terrific news. The NIL shite has been nothing but bad for college football, but this would at least be a help.

Instead of making it a requirement, make it a bonus that triggers when you play in a bowl game, bigger bonus for playoff games.
