Season 11 of the acclaimed survival series ALONE is here, plunging ten new participants into the unforgiving Arctic Circle–the northernmost location in series history. Battling within grizzly bear territory, bone-chilling cold, and icy landscapes, these individuals must self-document this fierce test of will as they strive to survive in complete isolation. Armed with only 10 chosen items, they face hunger, solitude and the relentless impact of the elements. The winner, enduring the Arctic’s extreme challenges, will claim the coveted half-million dollar prize. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure of a lifetime. No camera crews. No gimmicks. ALONE is the ultimate test of human will.

So, is he a distant cousin to "Foghorn Leghorn" the braggart cartoon rooster????

Show starts next week. I'm going to make a call that the first one to tap is Peter Albano. The chess playing librarian who isn't bringing an axe.

plus this-

Peter couldn’t embark on this great adventure without the support of his amazing wife and two great kids.

Thanks for the heads up. Only thing that maybe worries me about this season is that temps/conditions might be so bad that hunting is almost out of the question. The seasons are always better when there is at least potential for big game, not just fishing.

But as far as the cast goes..

Dusty is from Arkansas so I like pulling for people from the south and I like his items. Though it looks like you can use a fishing net/gil net at this location so hopefully he plans on making one.

I mean one guy is named Timber Cleghorn. Hard not think a guy with that handle isn't a bad arse survivalist.

Cubby Hoover is also a killer name, but I'm going to have a hard time rooting for him because I hate (although it's the smart thing to do) when people are just fat asses/gain 100 pounds for the show. One of the more frustrating things is when people survive simply because they have so much weight they can starve themselves.

William Larkham stands out to me a bit. His age is working against him at 49, but he already lives in a place with harsh climate. He's a fisherman which is going to be at this location. I'm big for hunters and people who can bow hunt, but I think not bringing a bow and arrow was actually a smart move because I don't think big game is going to be an option there. So wondering around for hours with a bow and arrow could be a detriment this season. I could be wrong with that though, so if big game is a potential, that would be a mistake on his part.

A person I'm 100% convinced wont win is Jake. He didn't bring a ferro rod, which is a moronic/rookie move. Nobody has ever one that tries to use a friction fire. And the colder the location, the dumber that decision is. He's a big dude so he' might last a while, but he ain't winning.

I like Larkham, but he seems to run a business and I wonder if he's softened from that.

Dub Paetz is way too skinny. Unless he gets food early on, he's gonna get pulled for medical.

I hope Timber's humanitarian streak doesn't make him miss his family too much. There's always several of those.

I guess we will see if Dusty can deal with the weather.

Michela seems pretty legit.

Interesting how many of them have college degrees.

WIlliam Larkham stood out to me as someone to be a favorite to win it.

I think ole Timber might be one of the first ones out. He seems like the kind of guy that would go out there and get homesick or something or say he found what he was looking for or some shite and is ready to go. And he's too skinny.

Jake not bringing a ferro rod is interesting. He'll either be one of the first ones out, or might make it until the end if he has a good plan, but i'd put my money on it being a stupid decision and he isn't coming close to challenging to win it.

I'd normally say Cubby ain't making it based on his background, but this season looks like it likely won't last that long due to the terrain and weather, and he looks the fattest and sounds like he needs the money more than everyone else. He might have a shot to win it.

Dub looks way too skinny to make it long in this one.

I don't have faith in Peter the librarian to tough this out.

I think Michela looks like someone who can do well here and would'nt be surprised if she's one of the last 3.

I don't like guys that are young and have young kids. It's difficult for them to play the long game. I know Clay wont it, but more often than not guys like that don't last b/c they have a real life back at home with kids.
Green Jeans Isaiah and Dusty fit that bill.

James and Sarah don't look like people that can handle this type of survival. They are too old and physically look old and out of shape.
James and Larkham are both 50, yet if you told me James was 63 and Larkham was 45, i'd easily believe that.

Id be all in if not for the medchecks and forcing people to quit from frostbite. Too much room for bias.

Callie got shafted in season 7 and they didnt even show Rolands medcheck. For all we know she would have beat him. She def would have if not for him lucking onto a game kill ( he earned the kill, but still lucky he found the opportunity)

He could have happily lived in Rock House till the end of his days. Pretty sure Roland's attitude is frick People. I doubt he missed a single soul while he was gone.

I'm a big Callie fan. one of my favorite contestants ever and she is a bad arse. But she needed to be removed, you can't mess around with frostbite. On a season recap episode they did with all of the cast members she said that she needed to go and that she permanently lost feeling in her toe. Also, no one was beating Roland.

Dude skipped his mom’s funeral because he was preparing to go on Alone.

I’d love to hear his take on pronouns.
