Neither - they'll indoctrinate her to hate herself.
(Probably UHigh... I know a SJA teacher, and aint no way they're hiring the best or the brightest. UHigh would make more sense from the financial standpoint)

Sure, and I can see the money stay in my community than paying state income tax to an empty trash can. Honestly, if I wasn’t smart enough to get the hell out of Louisiana before then, feeling the need to pay private school tuition and still get a shitty education and further my kids roots in a shitty state would be the last straw.
You do you tho. “It’s like this everywhere…”

U high is not high priced

My wife remarked about her days as an English prof that Catholic school girls were by far the best students. She almost didn't have to look at their work to award A+.

Have kids at both. UHigh has gone down a bit since Wade Smith retired. Now they’ve pushed Dr. Rusciano out. Kevin George is questionable at best. Not the same educational focus as in years past. My son is breezing through these last 3-4 years and he isn’t my strong academic child.
My girls are doing/did really well at SJA. My oldest says college is easier than SJA.

SJA definitely has the better academic program and a little better discipline policies. U-High has the better price.

Page and a half in and no one has made the obvious SJA joke. Proud of you OT.

academy girls can be brats, too many clicks

My girls are all VERY conservative, and of course there's some leftist bs students and a teacher or two, that's everywhere, but SJA has never force them anything at all--I'm very in tune with that. It's minimal. They've had quite a few conservative teachers too, but the vast majority are purely apolitical. And the interesting thing is that the teachers or speakers that have talked equity or some other bs seems to drive the students the other way. I've been very surprised by how the students seem to think for themselves

There are quite a few examples of the leftist garbage there. The most striking to me was just a few years ago there was a 6th grade teacher who jotted down several CRT/DEI buzzwords on the board. She instructed the class to break into small group, Google the words, discuss as a group, and then have a class discussion. What’s more troubling is that she instructed the children NOT to discuss this with their parents. Of course some of the children did share with the parents who brought it to the administration. The teacher is still there. This was during the first or second year of Kevin George’s tenure, so fairly recent. George, like his overlord William Tate is heavily invested in CRT. People tied to LSU are willfully blind, and there is no telling how much under the surface damage Tate has done there.
Hey, as long as LSU football can win games and produce Heisman candidates, who cares about the flagship education institution of Louisiana?…Amiright???
This is a blatant attempt to indoctrinate young minds, and should never be tolerated anywhere.

They are just completely different schools.
U-High is incredibly small for a high school. I believe each class graduates maybe 100 boys and girls combined (possibly less) while this year's SJA class is around 275. That's a huge social difference as far as your daughter is concerned. Could be good or bad depending on your daughter.
U-High will be able to give your daughter more one on one attention and sports opportunities that may be more difficult at SJA. SJA is highly competitive in all areas, and the sheer number of girls allows them to be extremely selective, especially when small teams are considered - cheer, dance, tennis, etc.
As far as the political stuff at SJA, they were definitely trending in that direction around Covid/2020, but the parents pushed back bigly. I haven't heard of anything from parents in the past few years. That stuff nearly disappeared. I can't speak for U-High on that note.
I do know a large number of girls are headed to SJA for 9th next year. Not sure why exactly. I can confidently say they're both great schools, just for different reasons. It's really an apples/oranges comparison. ETA...moving from U-High to SJA.

And I don't believe a typical public school there gives a better education than St. Joe 's or U High.

U-High: $5,381.03
SJA: $13,494.00
After paying almost $12k for daycare, the SJA tuition doesn't seem too bad down the road, however I'm sure Landry and his private school vouchers will raise this shite up to almost $30k.

No it isn’t. It’s not even the top academic school in its neighborhood.

Yeah, well, it's a National Blue Ribbon School as recently as last year...
