Clubs were stolen

After a round while eating lunch.
My clubs were in my trucks back seat and the window are tinted. They were the only thing of value in my truck at the time. I'm sure the thief grabbed the first thing available.
Luckily they were separately insured.
Time to build a new bag. One thing that I know is that it will be a mixed bag of what works for me.
The evaluation process has started.

That’s a really shitty thing to do.
Unfortunately it was probably not a random door puller just looking for what was inside. A few years ago our club and other local courses had a few guys that would steal clubs and sell on the internet. Thankfully they were caught but they’re still around the BR area

Sorry to hear, where were you?

This had to be someone you know for that to happen.

Does this course have cameras?

It was probably Rummel. He is only posting here to throw you off. I honestly never trusted the guy,

You were probably about to get rid of them anyway.

That sucks. My car got robbed at Eddie Vs after a round at River Oaks so I’m curious to understand this:
you separately insure your golf clubs? I know you have a ton of clubs but do you have a separate policy or noted items on your homeowners?
I just haven’t heard of insuring golf clubs out side of Tigers GSS Scotty.

I have an insurance rider as well for my clubs.
Do you have it through your home insurance? I’ve heard never claim anything on your home unless it’s major so am contemplating a different or more specialized company.

My clubs were stolen right before I was to play Bethpage Black. We were having lunch on the patio, my clubs were mixed in with all the other clubs and for some reason the thief grabbed mine. Bethpage said they had no cameras (which I find to be difficult), they could truly care less and then they made me pay for a rental set to play their golf course. Not even a free sleeve of golf balls, I was not happy at all. I was with my customer so I had to keep my cool, but inside I was fuming.

About 3 years ago my clubs were stolen out of my truck at work. They were in the bed and someone destroyed the bed cover to get to them.
I lived in an apartment at the time, but my State Farm renters insurance covered it since it was items I keep at home and temporarily had them in my truck. I can't remember what exactly the insurance policy called my items, but they did cover a percentage for what I was covered under in my policy. I just had to give them a list of everything that was in my bag and how much I valued each item at with pictures/receipts if I had them. Surprisingly they didn't push back on my prices, it just took a couple of months and cost me the entire summer of playing golf. I think it took about a month to get a check, but I had to wait forever for my clubs to come in from Taylor Made since I got fitted at a Golftec. Overall it worked out pretty well all things considered.

Exactly why I have an Airtag hidden in my bag.
