Niger sends Russian military to kick US troops out of military base

Like I mentioned in another thread, I was at that airbase for 7-8 months. It’s not very big so there will be lots of interactions between the two.

I saw in another thread that the US troops are going to a different base. "larger and easier to defend"
Not sure what's going on over there, but it appears Nuland pissed them tf off.. something went so far south she felt compelled to retire.

Our State Dept is a disaster but Niger should be careful. It's one thing to get tired of idiots like Blinken and Nuland and say you want a clean break - it's another if you start mingling different military forces, deny entry of supplies and things like that. If things get sporty over there and it causes harm to Americans, reprisals will be in order.

Fine by me. The Russians and Chinese will learn the same lessons in Africa that the West spent the last couple of centuries learning. With very limited exceptions, its an ungovernable hell hole.

The west failed because we want to import culture and our ethnics. To China and Russia it’s just business.

The only reason anyone internationally ever gets involved in Africa is in relation to resources or terrorism.

The US had already stated we were going to leave. There was a military Coup and Niger stated "get out" Niger being run by the military government.
