I didn’t think about a nice suit, but that’s a good idea. Take him to Dillards or a local men’s store and buy a nice and well tailored and fitted charcoal suit, shirt and tie that is appropriate for a wedding, funeral, interview. Maybe even a pair of nice black leather dress shoes and a belt to match.

Tell him to make sure, when picking up women, to tell them he was in a band, not in the band. He’ll thank you some day.

My daughter graduated from high school last year and I offered a nice watch. She said no but a couple months into college asked about getting the watch now. I told no she would have to wait for college graduation now.

Set him up a Roth IRA and put some money into it. Also, buy him the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad or another financial education book

I’m ignorant here. Just north of $700 with the value in the actual gold? So condition doesn’t matter?

If he doesn’t already have one. Or it’s an older model. A nice new laptop would be very useful for a kid fixing to go into college.

Suit is awesome.
But I’m old school. I like a watch.
Or a nice brown leather overnight bag. One that will last him his entire life. Everyday he carries it, he will remember and it will age as he does. That and a nice Dopp kit.

Get him several things that every guy should have. Something like a flask with his initials, a pocket knife with is initials on it, something along those lines that he can even pass down to his kids one day and then buy his some type of CD or bond or something he could contribute a little bit at a time to as well that in 10 or so years will give him a little more financial foundation.

Yes…
Those sort of books are a Great Idea.
Rich Dad Poor Dad is a book I gave to my son in the 7th grade.
It should be a given gift at graduation. I think they have an updated version.

Get him a box of condoms and a one year subscription to the jelly of the month club.
Instead of the jelly club, a Blue Chew or Roman subscription for d!ck pills will definitely help the lad with the ladies.

Wait, you’re suggesting a watch that is timeless. What’s the point?

They do. I gave it to my kid for a graduation gift
