I had some stuff to do after working late anyways so I just got out of the shower and sat in the recliner, rewound Ryan halls stream (I think it's his, he's not actually on it) to basically the beginning to see it as it happened and cracked open a beer before bed

That's interesting, because if it did heavy damage to that area it would have been before the RFD burst that ramped it up farther East. That would have also been nearly right on top of the radar site. The fact it didn't take damage would be remarkable.
Thinking about it, though, it is possible it could have sustained some damage and that damage could have played into the funkiness that was going on with Velocity later on. Just spitballing.
ETA: I'm not talking about the characteristics of the storm itself and the tornadoes it produced being an issue, but the problems with Velocity when that first tornado was at its strongest.

I was going to get up at 3:30 this morning to catch bait and fish Lake Texoma. A bad storm hit at 2 am and lasted for several hours and then another storm at around 8 am. Obviously I didn't go fishing.
And supposed to get hammered over night again. Maybe I'll finally be able to fish on Friday. The striped bass on Texoma are on fire but the weather won't cooperate.
