I’m actually curious. Did the dog kill a chicken or multiple chickens?

You don't shoot a dog that kills chickens.

I know many a rancher that killed dogs in a heartbeat that were killing calves out in their pastures. If you know anything about farm life I'd bet you'd know some ranchers who did the same.

Noem’s dog? I have no clue.

My reply is directed solely to mmcgrift’s assertion above that farmers won’t shoot dogs for harassing or killing livestock. It is an utterly asinine claim.

But weird as it may be, it could be a huge long term hurdle for her in national politics.

Bucky indicated as much in the initial thread on the issue.

Why would any politician put themselves in a position to explain the culling of a rogue hunting dog to childless suburbanites who view fluffy as an actual member of their family?

Agree or disagree with Noem’s actions, it was an unforced error.

My Dad killed several dogs that killed his chickens. He or others in the family also killed hogs, foxes, raccoons, skunks, or anything else caught killing chickens.
It happens.

They held onto Fauci’s every word even though he funded feeding beagle pups to the fleas.

That’s cool Matt. Being a dog killer is pretty bad too.
