Arkansas defensive lineman Trajan Jeffcoat has signed a free agent deal with the New Orleans Saints on Monday morning. He is the fifth Razorback to be picked up in free agency after the 2024 NFL draft.
Jeffcoat, 6-4, 281, started all 12 games at defensive end for the Hogs after transferring in from Missouri after the conclusion of the 2022 season. The Columbia (S.C.) native led the Razorbacks with 29 QB pressures and 18 hurries while racking up four sacks and 16 tackles. His best game came against Ole Miss on Oct. 7 where he made a season-high three tackles for loss and a sack in a 27-20 loss in Vaught Hemingway Stadium.

I'm really curious about this Yale WR, Mason Tipton.
He was a starter and their primary target, so he's at least used to getting on the field, catching, getting hit and making plays, even though it was a run-friendly offense and it's Ivy League.
Dude ran a 4.33 at his pro day. I know, the word is he didn't show that on the field, but guys who run low 4.3 times, who actually played football instead of mostly just dressing out and then run track instead- there ain't a lot out there.
And addressing the fact that he didn't show that speed in games- again, it's Yale. Not to talk bad about the Ivy League, but they're not working out like guys at SEC or Big 10 schools. Heck, he came from a power high school in Ohio, 3 or 4 straight state titles. Wouldn't be surprised if his high school (and lots of other high schools) had better facilities and training. I doubt Yale cares about developing athletes, and his coaches probably just thought "he's our fastest receiver". From the couple highlights I saw, they didn't have a QB that could stretch the field anyway.
That 4.33 might just be raw natural ability, I'd be curious to see what NFL coaches can do with him. And he's 5'11, 190, so he's not tiny. Not big, but there's something to work with.
Who knows, he might develop into something special, if our coaches can get that to translate to the field.

Nathan Lowrie TE 2005 is the only player from Yale I can find that played for the Saints.

Former TE Eric Johnson played at Yale as well

Dallin Holker - What's the story on this guy falling out of the draft? Seems like he was pretty consistently rated as a 5-7 rd pick.
Seems to me that Millard Bradford has a pretty good shot at making the team with our shallow safety group.

I saw some pre-draft coverage of Holker. He looks like a keeper.
