Towing two trailers

I'm wanting to go on a 4 wheeler trail trip and take a camper. I have 2 four wheelers I'm wanting to take, and can only fit one in the truck bed. Is this a terrible idea to tow a 12' lightweight utility trailer behind the 14' camper? Mildly concerned about trailer sway at highway speed. I'll definitely not be pushing the speed by any stretch but even at 65-70 it can get sideways pretty quick. Is trailer sway only a concern when the trailers are improperly balanced or are there more factors that affect that?

I personally wouldn't do it....
But I've passed folks (quickly) on the interstate who I've seen doing it.

I know some states you can't bumper pull two trailers. You can have a gooseneck/5th wheel to a bumper but not two bumper pulls.
I've seen it done buy I wouldn't do it. Whenever we go camping along with either off-roading or camping, my wife has to drive one of my trucks and tow a trailer. She doesn't like it, but she gets over it.

I know a guy that pulled two GatorTail boats to either Portland ,Oregon or Seattle,Washington with his F-250.
Then the people he sold them to took him duck hunting in the Pacific Ocean. Out of 30’ BlackWatch.
He pulls two at a time all the time. Make sure you have good hitches and a good towing vehicle. And lights.

I didn’t even know this was legal.

Buddy did it multiple times. Pulled a bass boat behind the camper. Never had any trouble. BR to Alexandria when we camped a lot at lake Kincaid

I wonder if they have something rated for the hitch that can hold 1 atv. Kinda like a motorized scooter mount that goes in the hitch.

I would just do it. Chances are no cop will ever notice and on the off chance that they do and pull you over plead ignorance and promise to get that mess off his highway as soon as he lets you go....
I have not had a tag on our motorhome for over 9 years. Its registered but it doesn't have a tag on it. No one has ever said boo about it. I have NEVER had a tag on a boat trailer in any state I ever lived in or towed a boat. Never had any issues except once in Florida and all that came of it was they told me I needed a tag. Cops are pretty oblivious to what is going on around them...unless of course you are speeding or otherwise drawing attention to yourself...

Got a friend that has a 28' canoer trailer and tows a 10' trailer with a golf cart behind it. I ask him is this safe, and he says you can't back up.

Towing something like that 65-70 IS pushing the speed.

I have done it with a 24 foot camper and a 10foot utility trailer loaded with a four wheeler. I cut the flimsy bumper off the camper. Got me some 4inch square tubing and welded it on the frame of the camper and welded a receiver hitch onto the tubing. Pulled that set up everywhere. From Louisiana to south Florida. Never had a problem

I see people of the Mexican persuasion do it all the time. Not that I would
