How many great coaches consistently win without great players? It’s almost impossible.
How many times does a coach look like a genius one year only to seemingly “forget” how to coach the next year? The talent level on the roster is 99% of it.

the offense was still functional with Teddy and Winston towards the end, but obviously Brees really took his offense into gear.
that being said, very few teams are great with bad or even mediocre QBs.
Thats why I have a ton of respect for a guy like Shannahan. He’s had some shite QBs and always delivered a serviceable offense.
