Going to Indiana for business and will spend some time in Indianapolis
What are some recs for things to do, places to eat/drink?
Pretty open to trying different things so whatever you have liked or enjoy feel free to share

I like their minor league ballpark right there in downtown along the river.
ETA: if you have time, head to the track for a tour, or at least see the car museum.

Museum is closed until this time next year. They are renovating it and enlarging it. I believe you can still do the track tour. If so, it is worth it to see the place if you have never been before.
There are a lot of things centered around the big parks on the White River northwest of Lucas Oil Stadium. The NCAA headquarters has a hall of champions/museum that is nice to walk through.
There is a really large zoo on the other side of the river, and pedestrian bridges that cross between the banks.

St. Elmo's Steakhouse.
2nd that, we had dinner at Bluebeard last time we were there and it was very solid also.
Stayed at The Bottleworks, very nice hotel, used to be a Coke bottling plant, in a cool area and very close to downtown.

Definitely St Elmo's and shrimp cocktail for appetizer. They grow their own horseradish and it will clear your sinues.

We also like to hit up The Tamale Place while in Indy. Local chain that makes fresh tamales. Would be a good lunch stop.
