Revert back to Structure

Sounds like the whole reason they went bankrupt is because they sell shite nobody wants. A useless product is still useless at a discount.

It is always sad when a business goes under.
However, when your merchandise becomes unpopular there is not much you can do about it.
The American Public is a fickle bunch.

Express was my go-to for pimp clothes back in early 2000’s

They sell nice clothes for men but mainly women. The problem is you can get almost the same quality at H&M for a fraction of the price.
Buying expensive clothes for the sake of brand loyalty is crazy.

I still regularly wear them. Best fitting shorts I’ve ever owned and the quality legitimately couldn’t be better.

Fashion is incredibly fickle. Stuff that is everywhere today could be out tomorrow and stores which are stuck with unsaleable inventory could be SOL.

Pre-Covid, Express had great men's polos. Solid colors that fit well and looked great.
After Covid they went off the deep end and changed their entire men's section to something you'd expect to see on pajama soyboy.

Malls are dying in general. I imagine that most stores that have traditionally relied on malls and shopping centers to service their core business are going to struggle. I honestly don't know any one of my wives or sisters friends, or my daughter and her friends who have shopped at Limited any time in the last several years.

My wife and daughters don't ever go to the mall. I can't remember the last time I've been in one, but I'm not exactly their main target demographic anymore.

I thought Limited was a women's store?

quote:Yep. The Mall staple retailers (Footlocker/Victoria's Secret/Champs) are closing in droves. Any enclosed malls that are still operating are full of odd/specialty tenants resembling a Turkish Bazaar with tons of gold chains/cellphone covers & weird clothing.

It was when I worked there in HS as a stock boy (mirror washer/lightbulb changer). Had the only male store manager in the company at the time (79-82) and a bunch of Memphis State coeds.
Saw they went bankrupt or something in the last year.

Who remembers when the brand was called Structure?
I member.
Edit: Mattz beat me to it

Yes, because I think about the people in the retail stores, the sales clerks, managers, cleaning staff etc. losing their incomes...
