we pick up some defensive free agents and a strong draft and we will be able to contend for the South again

I still think that if we had the health of Carolina and our current kicker we win this division. Just with our current kicker alone we win the Denver and Minnesota game. And with better health we would have won the Tampa Bay and Chicago game. Kicker and healthy cornerbacks would have gone a long way.

It's always a key. The year the Falcons went to the Superbowl in 99 they weren't the best team, they were the best team that didn't have a key player go down to injury. That was almost 10 years ago so I don't remember who went down, I just remember thinking they were lucky to get there.

but to make matters worse...having the #1 offense in the NFL makes our defensive short comings that much harder to deal with.

i really want a new defensive coach thats what i want for Christmas for the saints to fire gibbs right before Christmas that would be a good and it will help us next year. I think that the new offensive coach is going to be that purdue coach i got a funny feeling cause of him being in the booth during the bears game sitting next to our owner so next year my prediction 12-4. Home field baby and a super bowl win

Last year at this time, wasn't everyone saying that next year would be our year since we were grtting Reggie back for the next season. I guess it makes it easier just to say wait till next year.
