Just like allowing people to steal from stores and walk out the front door with carts full of stolen merchandise..

In what universe is beating someone's arse for wanting to know why they were pulled over similar to letting thieves walk out of stores?

Good Lord.

Or, maybe speeding is illegal,
I don't think she denied this.

LOL. She asked why she was pulled over.

Come on man. You're trying too hard. No one normal would think, "If I want to know why I'm pulled over, he's gonna beat my arse".

Dishonest much? I have zero doubt the Police officer asked her MULTIPLE times (clear time laps) to get out of the car and show ID. I have zero doubt she had a serious self-entitled attitude, broke many laws, resisted arrest and didn't want to go to jail. You a really reaching in your desperate hating of Police!

He did ask her for ID. And she asked why she was pulled over.

He refused to answer until he got ID and then, in typical police and bootlicker fashion, decided THAT was a solid reason for violence.

All because some dumbasses are training cops to refuse to tell people why they've been pulled over until they get ID.

There's literally no rational reason for this training and they KNOW it creates conflcit which gives you a solid window into the soul of how police think about us as people.

In what universe is that beating someone's arse?

What should he have done? Let her go since she wouldn't comply?

Tell me. How is that supposed to go down? He pulls her over and asks for info. She says no. What happens next? Tell me.

That’s not a ‘body slam’

Obviously horrible police work and glad he was terminated. The yelling at the old guy at the end shows what a pos this officer was. Good riddance.

OK. In what universe is getting violent AT ALL........

Tell her why she was pulled over. Ya know. Like a fricking human.

OK. This is EASY

Girl cracks window open(which is honestly fine but cop will bitch)

Cop asks for it to be open more. GIRL COMPLIED

Cop asks for ID

Girl asks why she's pulled over.

Cop says, "you were pulled over for speeding"

Girl gives ID.

DONE.

Or, variant.

Cop asks for ID.

Girls asks why pulled over

Cop says ID first.

Girl still asks why pulled over.

AT THIS POINT COP PONDERS. Is not telling her so necessary, that the best alternative is to drag her out of the car?

NORMAL HUMAN COP after pondering. Miss, I pulled you over for speeding now give me your ID.

Done.

This shite ain't nearly as hard as you bootlikers make it.

"I am my daddy's special little princess. I get to dictate the terms of my interaction with the police officer who has just stopped me for violating the law, and I don't want to get my hair wet by opening my window."

Again, the cop's reaction was excessive, but the driver caused this situation.

Here's the deal

ONLY ONE OF THEM poses a threat to me and mine.

Some girl wanting to know why she was pulled over bothers me not. Hell. I AGREE WITH HER! What fricking rational human thinks this whole, "nope not gonna tell ya" thing even makes sense?

But a cop willing to turn violent over such a small thing? Yeah. THAT dude is a threat to society at large.

I"m society's chosen angel. I'm going to specifically refuse to tell the person I PULLED OVER why I did it? Why? Because I can.

I mean, if you're gonna want to paint one of them as being childish..........I'd say wanting to know WHY the agent of the state has stopped you is far less "special princess" than thinking it's important not to tell her.

The cop is the pathetic princess here. Sorry.

False. The training that tells cops to refuse to tell people why they were pulled over until they get ID is the DIRECT cause of this situation.

And NONE of you defending the cops in any way have even TRIED to articulate why that shite makes sense. You just skip right past to expecting her to be OK with such a fricking absurd policy.

Her father is a coward. If that was my kid, he'd be missing several teeth.

You have to wonder if he's also a pedo. He just had to search her gym bag. Sick bastard.

Fun Fact: Until 2023, Texas law (Penal Code 38.02) did not require a driver to provide a cop with his driver's license (or even his name and address) unless the officer placed the driver under arrest. It was only illegal to LIE about your name and address.

And that's STILL the ID law in relation to all other situations other than traffic stops.

Which is why I laugh when people defend cops who demand ID in situations where no law was broken and no RAS exists.

Yeah I don’t think I would have dismissed the cop. I think the girl should have just followed directions. The force did not come across as excessive regarding someone not working with an officer.

The officer was only fired after the store video was released. The town council had backed the officers actions till then with the father expecting to have to go to court. A city wide yard campaign had started in support of the young lady and grew. Seems the officer left his previous job after a incident and joined the S. Whitley force in 23. Like bad priest get shuffled around so do bad officers. Better pay and more training is needed. Can we borrow a few billion back from Ukraine?

"And almost simultaneously, He said another “youtuber” posted something earlier in the week about the incident that gained 300,000 views.

“Forty five minutes after he made that post, the South Whitley Police Department and the town of South Whitley deleted their Facebook pages,” thus eliminating all of the public comments critical of the incident, Augustus said.

“I feel like just that public awareness finally pushed them to realize that this is a lot bigger than they initially thought it was. I think they initially thought it could be handled and resolved

“I don’t think that they expected this kind of public outcry in favor of us, and frankly, I didn’t expect this kind of outcry … It’s been heartwarming.”

News Now Warsaw called the South Whitley Police Department twice after 4 p.m. Friday, but nobody answered the phone.

Augustus told News Now Warsaw on Saturday — one day after posting his video — that his family thinks more training on de-escalation practices for police is needed for police officers and pointed out that more training hours are needed.

Augustus said he believes police only receive 600 hours of training once they get out of the police academy.

“A nail technician that does my wife’s nails gets 450 hours to be licensed and she’s not carrying a gun,” he said.

Soon after the South Whitley video came to light, another video of Schimmel surfaced when he was employed with the Monrovia Police Department in southern Indiana.

It shows him physically intervening with a race car driver while working security detail in his police uniform at a figure 8 race track. Shimmel is seen trying to break up a dispute between two drivers on the track and struggling to take one of the drivers down to the ground.

That incident happened in early 2023 and Schimmel joined the South Whitley Police Department in October of 2023.

“I feel like there was a failure of conducting an adequate background check because this officer had a violent history at his previous post at Monrovia,” Augustus said.
