Go check out the Commies board. 95 percent of them think Maye is the second coming and don’t want Daniels. Some clowns are saying he’s a coach and program killer (ASU) , that it took him 5 years to develop, that he was only good because of Nabers/BTJ, that it is major red flags he didn’t do a weigh in at the combine and he has character concerns because he has an agent that is leaving cryptic tweets. It’s actually really entertaining.

He will be lucky to be Mariota. In the NFL his WRs won’t be far and away better than the competition. He will have to make on time accurate passes and that’s not something he can do.

Looking at YPG to come up with a rushing skill comp is one of the stupider ways to compose a take.

I would want no part of being a GM in this day and age. These running QBs scare me to death. They have no future if they define their position as they did in college. Defenses will always catch up to these run-first guys and NFL windows are just too small without anticipation and the ability to read the entire field. Jayden Daniels is that guy and if he makes it at the next level he will have to change his ways sooner rather than later. That is just too much to hope for for a second or third pick in the draft. No thanks for that privilege.

Meh at this point it’s all based on what’s in your head. Mahomes is 6-2 and approaching dad bod territory and still tearing it up.

That bolded part is damning.

Last season they didn’t throw the ball over the middle

This year they did

The bolded part combines both seasons

Daniels is a much better passer than the other names mentioned here. His decision making is exceptional as well. 40TDs with 4 INTs against a tough schedule is legit

Also on the 80 yard run versus Florida he recorded the fastest mph run in LSU football history. All time. As a QB.

Trindon Holliday may have been faster on the track but he was never as fast as Daniels on the football field

Daniels has no business being a top 5 pick. Skins should trade back, load up on picks and then try their hand with a couple of middle round QBs.

Isn’t this what they’ve been doing?

Interesting but data relies on JD’s entire college career.

I think data like this should be heavily skewed on the last couple of year of a college QBs career.

Like anyone puts credence in anything Bears related.

ETA:
As an LSU fan who thinks Jayden will do well in the NFL. the biggest thing he needs to work on is to try less to be like Lamar and more like Tom Brady. He can't run like he did at LSU. If he does, his career will be over quickly because of injuries. I don't know how he got up after some of the hits he took the last two years of playing in the SEC West. The QB coach at his NFL team is going to have to work hard to get him to go down

I quit reading that wall of text when they compared JD & Jackson’s yds per game rushing
1. Use JD’s 2 years at lsu to Jackson
2. Now do their potential at actually throwing a football
