well, the rewritten Title IX is terrible. Colleges are going to have some issues.

- men can take academic AND athletic scholarships from women
- men will have FULL access to bathrooms, locker rooms, etc
- men could be housed in dorm rooms with women
- students and faculty MUST compel their speech by requiring the use of preferred pronouns

Failure to comply = no longer have access to federal money including student grants, loans, etc.

Effective August 1, 2024. Women are cheering their destruction.

One positive is that the school can't suspend a student that's under a sexual assault investigation. So a woman can no longer accuse a man of rape and get immediate revenge.

Title IX is suffering from Cloward-Piven.

I’d prefer it be reformed but outright destroying it is fine with me as of now. It will allow for something new to come along once this crashes and burns.

Hasn't SCOTUS already struck shite like this down?

I know resident inflation will keep trying, but it won't stand.

If he can do it (big if), Trump needs to be able to succinctly describe for the voters what this regulation means going forward. No generic and homespun descriptions with nicknames for Joe. In bullet point fashion, tell what it does.

Under the new rules, sex discrimination includes discrimination based on gender identity as well as sexual orientation. A school must not separate or treat people differently based on sex, except in limited circumstances, under the provisions and critics say that the change will allow locker rooms and bathrooms to be based on gender identity.

This is just more proof that the left WANTS there to be violence.

When it finally happens, they're all gonna act surprised but, they'll deserve it nonetheless.

This will be challenged, and possibly the constitutionality of Title IX altogether will be evaluated. Could be a FAFO moment.

Hell, while they seem to be primed for stupidity, might as well take their voting rights, too.

I find it hard to believe this will stand up in court. Might be the end of Title IX completely.

I am amazed at how women have allowed themselves to become marginalized after fighting for their place in the world.

No wonder so many of them support the current Iranian leadership….

Good. Women, particularly female college students, vote overwhelmingly for this sort of thing. They deserve to get the consequences good and hard.

Judge: Louisiana legislative districts dilute Black voting strength, violate the Voting Rights Act

quote:

New state House and Senate boundary lines drawn up by the Louisiana Legislature in 2022 dilute Black voting strength in violation of the U.S. Voting Rights Act, a federal judge in Baton Rouge ruled Thursday.

...filing noted that the state’s voting-age population is about 33% Black. But only 11 of 39 state Senate districts and 29 of 105 House districts are predominantly Black — less than a third in each case.

Dick’s order gives the state a “reasonable period of time” to approve new legislative districts that do not violate Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, which prohibits voting laws or procedures that purposefully discriminate on the basis of race, color or membership in a language minority group.

“This decision sets a powerful precedent for challenging discriminatory redistricting efforts across the nation, confirming that attempts to dilute Black communities’ votes and their power will not be tolerated,” said Megan Keenan, staff attorney with the American Civil Liberties Union’s Voting Rights Project. The ACLU was part of a coalition of voters and organizations that challenged the maps.

Louisiana residents, this is your time to shine.

Race is a social construct, as we have repeatedly been told.
Gender is also a social construct, as we have repeatedly been told.

Should a substantial number of you now decide to self-identify as Black, your legislative districts suddenly become majority-Black. Congrats - Louisiana is now compliant with the Voting Rights Act!

Use their own rules against them.

But you have to actually take action, just as the trans rights activists have done. There is current litigation regarding both Congressional and state redistricting, get involved and do something.

What race did you identify as on the 2020 Census? Will you choose the same option on the 2030 Census? What race did you select when you enrolled your children in school? Are you part of the vast sea of pink below? Who says you have to be? What if you identify differently now?
