Yeah, first basemen, on the other hand …

When you get punked by a guy making his major-league debut and your team is up 6 runs, it might be time to retire.

McTaggart wrote an article about the potential for Loperfido to get called up. Apparently he’s been mashing in AAA including a recent 3 HR game. Rather see him get a shot than wasting any more ABs on Singleton. I think there’s still a chance for Abreu to find his swing.

Dana Brown said on radio today they want to see Loperfido cut down on strikeouts. Said he’ll be up at some point but doesn’t seem imminent yet.

He had the one brutal game where he went 0-6 with 6Ks which will inflate things a bit this early in the season.

He's K'd in 22/65 PAs for a 34% K rate

Outside of that one shite game it's 16/59 for 27% which is still too high.

22 strikeouts 8 walks. Probably would have a tough go of it in the majors.

Gas Hader!

Nice series win, lead the season series against those poop heads 4-3 and 2.5 back.

Big ask for our young pitchers these next three games against Atlanta. Find a way to win the series and the schedule really eases up.

Let’s enjoy it for a few hours because we are about to face the Braves offense and our 3 starters are Arrighetti, Brown, and JP France

I’m enjoying a series victory and consecutive victories because they haven’t happened much this season. We can all worry about tomorrow some time tomorrow.

Look at this level of salted asshurt from the NBC Rotoworld Fantasy player news

quote:

Jose Altuve finished 3-for-5 with a pair of solo homers Sunday in the Astros’ 8-5 defeat of the Rangers.

Both homers were no doubters down the left field line. Altuve is batting .382 with five homers and AL-high eight doubles, so it’s already time to start wondering what his excuse will be for skipping the All-Star Game this year.

I'm guessing an LA or New York based writer.

For quite awhile it was impossible for espn to write a single story about the Astros without throwing in several sentences about the sign stealing controversy. No matter how good the news was the sign stealing controversy had to be branded on the Astros.

The chode writers and "fans" who can't help but denigrate Altuve constantly will eventually look back and wonder why they chose to be angry and not appreciate his greatness when it's been obvious for a long time.
