Possibly, but considering that they've reportedly sent hundreds I think it's more likely they may be testing the upper limits of the defense shield.

That’s kind of my thought. A manned aircraft would be far more difficult to shoot down.

I keep thinking Iran is telling Hezbollah to sit tight so this doesn't get out of control. I'm concerned that their involvement will take this into a scheme of annihilation and that's when Israel may pull out the low yield nukes. If that cooks off, I really don't know how it stops unless at least one nation is wiped off the map.

News networks are now on it. Watching CNN right now (no idea why), the expert they are interviewing at the moment said the drones may well be an attempt to overwhelm the defense system just before the cruise missiles get there.
