I was a 12 year old black child at the time and I knew OJ was guilty. I never understood the celebrations.

Not Tribal. Racist.

Blacks are vehemently racist. I mean, off the charts racist. The average black person in America would fit in perfectly with the 1950 KKK. They are indistinguishable except it's possible blacks today are worse.

You are probably too young to remember but there was a time when a lot of white people got away with stuff. Justice system has always favored the rich and good looking.

Watching them on TV celebrating a murderer set free made me sick to my stomach.

I can’t fathom celebrating an obviously guilty white man being found not guilty of murdering two black people, just because he’s white.

The odd thing?

Color aside, OJ Simpson had about as much in common with those celebrating as you do.

Who the frick are you people? Were you assigned to this thread by the party or something?

There is no 100 year old whitey equivalency situation here, dude. Can you name a case from the past 100 years where a guy was accused of double murder and white people fiercely rooted for him to be acquitted despite fully believing he was guilty? Where the jury foreman gave a white power salute during the reading of the verdict?

No, you can't. Go shill out somewhere else.

You’re definitely an aberration. You were raised well.

As someone mentioned before, if a white dude murdered two black people and is found guilty, I want him to fry.

Exactly. Their color doesn’t matter.

If OJ killed his first wife (who was black) instead of Nicole, he'd have died in prison.

This has happened likely more times than you can count in American history. In many instances, a lot of white men were never brought to trial.
Yeah, 60 years or more ago, but this was in the 90’s when we were supposed to be a just and equal society.

I guess this was just payback for the black community right? Who cares if a black man nearly decapitated two people, they were just two yt folks.

Would you feel the same if the two victims were black? Probably not, that shite happens numerous times daily and y’all just shrug your shoulders.

You only care when the murderer is a white person and the victim is black.

I’m sure race had a lot to do with it, but let’s not sugarcoat the fact that the prosecution did a horrible at putting on their case. It wasn’t hard to manufacture reasonable doubt.

did you miss the Reginald Denny attack because he was white - in Los Angeles on the day of the Rodney King verdict./riots - two years prior in 1992?

quote:

Antoine Miller climbed up and opened the truck door, giving an unidentified man the chance to pull Denny out and throw him on the ground. Henry Watson stood on Denny's neck to hold him down as a group of men surrounded him and Anthony Brown kicked him in the abdomen.[9][3] As Watson walked away, two other unidentified men joined in the attack: one hurled a five-pound oxygenator stolen from Larry Tarvin's truck at Denny's head,[10] and the other kicked him and hit him with a claw hammer.[9] News footage showed Damian Williams throwing a cinder block at Denny's head, then doing a football-style victory dance in the road and gesticulating gang signs at the Los Angeles News Service helicopter of Zoey Tur[a] and Marika Gerrard.[3][11] After the beating ended, some men threw beer bottles at the unconscious body and a man searched Denny's back pockets, taking his wallet.
quote:

Denny apparently missed getting a statue in his honor by a mere 28 years - Denny wasn't overdosing on drugs though - he was just innocently working that day in 1992 - that must by why -

There is something to the OJ phenomenon and Rodney king deal. That is when some sparks were set on the fire and it has kept going since. The guy getting pulled out of the cab of that truck was insane.

Sorry buddy. If you know any history of the LAPD it was because of how crooked they were. It had nothing to do with a black man being freed. LAPD has been and is still crooked after all these years. They were murderers for hire. How do toy think Biggie and Tupac were shot?

Hate to break it to you there again. My ex wife was involved in an accident where this Mexican with no insurance ran a light and hit her. Then, before the cop showed up this guy went to talk to another Mexican in front of this school where the wreck happened. I speak Spanish so I listened to everything he told the guy. He said, "Man, I need your help. He said, what's up? He said,Man, I ran the red light but I have no insurance. Can you just say she ran the light and I hit her? He said, I got you bro. The cop showed up and the guy told his side of the story and said I also have a witness. I asked the NOPD officer "why are you talking to him?" She said,"because that's his witness." I said, "Ma'am that guy wasn't even out here when the accident happened and neither was I. I just showed up to make sure my wife was OK. He went up to the guy once I showed up and asked him to vouch for him. I said and judging by where his truck is you can see he ran the light. I had to fight the insurance company with video because the stupid cop used the other statement as if he witnessed it. So don't single one race out. All races do it whether you like it or not.
