I don't care about all the numbers, but I'd like to know it's 21 pages. The 323 replies on the 747 thread means nothing to me.

I also liked that if you clicked on the last page number it took you to the top of the last page of the thread. If you click on the last post username it take you to the bottom of the last page.

I liken it to updating your operating system on a PC from Windows 10 to 11, but on a much smaller scale. Things look different at first but you'll get used to it.

Interesting take. There are still a lot of things I hate about our update after a year. There are many things that are just less functional. I could name multiple ones with Windows, MS365, and the one with my biggest pet peaves...Excel (yes, I know it's part of MS365.)

I go to the last page (or one of the last few pages) of a large thread and then start scrolling down reading posts.

I do something similar. If a topic is really long (10+ pages), I may read the first page and see what it's about. If I'm not sure if I want to read the whole thing, I jump to the last 2-3 pages and see what's being discussed. We just don't always want to read the whole thing.

Also, my font does look very different on the desktop. Maybe it's bigger, but it feels smaller. It's like the actual letters are thinner, but squished together more. It's not a horrible thing or a great thing. It just is very definitely different.

Its terrible.

Too hard to tell which threads are getting traffic.

Being a newb I'm not sure where the pg# is missing from. I'm also mainly on mobile so maybe a desktop deal? On mobile the response count is still on there so maybe that shows traffic just as well. I also mostly stay on the first page of Active/Trends, so I may not know better as im thinking for my use they should all be getting traffic.

I did like the 'Top' bottom so that's going to be annoying as the "tapping the top of screen move" doesn't work for me.

I do like that the reply count is there not having to press an extra button to see if there were any responses (I think this one is a new change)

The up/down votes showing on the your post page is cool but still weird a little as it subtracts down votes from upvotes.

Does the new format on a laptop kind of hurt anyone else's eyes? Chicken should have been more considerate considering we're all in our 50s now.

I think I may have to use dark mode 100% of the time. There is way too much white on the normal format.. it's almost abusive. Dark mode is pretty soothing.

Lynyrd, what exactly is the issue? that screen shot looks ok to me.

To me, as you stated, that is is now slightly larger. Maybe offer an option to decrease it if you ever implement the change mentioned earlier about giving us an option to increase it. It's just larger than what it was and looks weird

not much changed on desktop coloring...is it an optical illusion from switching in and out of dark mode?

Working on it. I have to send it to my personal email on my phone and then post from my phone to get around the firewall blocking an image hosting sites.

It's probably my eyes trying to adjust to subtle differences. Removing the page numbers did add quite a bit of white space right in the middle of the screen. I like dark mode and will probably just use that.

This

I used that page count religiously when deciding what threads to open/check out if I had the choice between a bunch of new threads that I hadn't opened yet. If I see an older thread which I already viewed popped up at a later time with a bunch of pages, I'd usually go back into that thread to check out updates or what was new. I've never once looked at the number of replies column

Clogs up my page with stuff I've seen before. You're not that important that your message needs to announce who you are every post with anything more than a UN
Yeah sure but now you won't even see the stuff. And while the message won't announce who someone is in every post, now it won't announce it at all.

You don't make a very good argument.

Can anyone confirm if the "last page you were on" option is a Mobile deal too or just Desktop? I changed the setting on my phone, but not seeing that. I think it's just Desktop but making sure as that's a cool feature if possible to get on Mobile one day.

It makes it easy to go to the last page of a large thread. The meme thread in politics in particular. The "dare not say the name" thread in politics. But for any multipage thread it is great to click on the last page you were on.

It was just feel different because the page feels like it has so much white space. But it definitely seems different.
