That's better than paying $4 MM for 12 place like this past season

They were SEC champs or tournament champs 12 times in his tenure there. He only lost in the first round two times in 15 years.

Great hire. Arkansas hasn't had a real coach since Nolan.

They changed the color of his jacket. Musselman never wore a suit.

Nice to go with his whole tenure and not that it was twice in the last 3 years.

Cal is an enigma.

He can absolutely acquire talent, but his only NC in his career was one of the most talented teams ever.

His last 6 years have been an underachievement by his and Kentucky's standards, but that does come with an asterisk because we don't know how that 2020 team would have done as a likely 2-seed in the NCAAT.

Yep, he won basically nothing at UK with all that talent the last few years. It's why fans got frustrated with him, and the AD finally turned up on the heat on him 2 weeks ago and forced him to bail.

I'm mixed on it pesonally. He's still overall the biggest coaching name out there, but his results have been poor the last few year given the talent. The relationship had gotten stale and it was time for a change.

I did watch his introduction last night, and he kept saying what he said here that pissed people off, that his goal was to get players to the NBA, which is fine, and good for recruiting, but I think he's going to be the same way there that he was here, bringing in a lot of young talent, and still losing 10 games a year, and be out in early March.

Time will tell.
