I'm waiting on it to pick up here. We ended up with a little under a quarter inch of rain since midnight. Just too dry up here today and all the rain just dried up as it drifted north. We should still get the wind, though.

I am waiting to put the trash can out so it don't blow over
Think we are at a surplus for rain down here so far this year

I was watching the radar when I made the decision. That’s how bad I didn’t wanna go back to Atlanta.
I made it home through! Winds got wicked coming across escambia bay!

Yep, here too. It has been a good start to the year in that regard. Through March we were just over 3" above normal at the house.

ea I set an empty bucket out in the farm shop parking lot and it had about 15 in it. Fields flooded all over in the delta, I imagine several corn crops will be replanted. Tough luck for those guys, this year was going to be tough anyways due to low grain prices
We have sort of unintentionally became perennially late planters and I swear it's paid off every single time so far

You have to have a bit of attitude sometimes to barrel through the bullshite. It is often what it takes to avoid the bullshite asymmetry principle of Brandolini's law.

That Galliano airport rain gauge must not be working. I am about 5 miles away and had at least 3 inches of rainfall.

They said that the tornado-warned storm at the very front of the bow echo earlier today crossed from St Landry through Pointe Coupee and into West Feliciana with a ground speed of nearly 80mph. This one hit New Roads, St Francisville, and Clinton north of Baton Rouge.
That’s very unusual for south Louisiana outside or a hurricane. That seems more like something that happens closer to I-20 or I-40.

That’s kind of crazy that the wind lingers like that. Feels like a tropical storm almost.

Damn we ended up with 3.2 inches here though seems they've missed on the forecasted rain for overnight tonight

That’s really the truth. If checking this site for severe weather in The Gulf South is a option for me at the time, I’m coming here first.

Our property is a few yards from the apartment complex that got wrecked. We had one building that ha survived everything since Betsy on. Original glass windows and window AC unit in it and not a scratch ever. It did take water in Katrina and that was it
