Hamilton Jazzmaster Skeleton

Damn I love a skeleton. The Santos de Cartier skeleton has recently piqued my interest, particularly the ADLC version on the dark gray matte gator strap. So many watches, so little time.

ETA: surely he can't afford a Rolex

There is difference between adding a Tudor to your Rolex collection vs only buying a Tudor.

When the crash hit many added a Tudor (or opted for Omega) with the limited availability of Rolex. But not many have lusted for a Rolex only to choose the Tudor given the financial ability and availability to buy the said Rolex.

We can agree to disagree, this has been discussed in numerous threads on the Rolex forum.

I have 3 to report today that came in over the past couple of days:

1. NTH Amphion mod in a V2 case:

2. Custom Slim Willard Mod w/blue dial:

3. Custom 62MAS Mod (my wrist seems to have grown beyond the micro adjusts since I sent it off for some tweaking ):

I am currently planning on having the Amphion (w/ V2 case) sent off with my Nacken V1 to have the cases swapped so I will then have a correct Amphion Commando (new bezel insert) in a V1 case and a Nacken V2.

But damned if I am starting to like the Amphion the way it is.

That's an Erika's Original Marine Nationale strap on that Aevig? That case/bezel/hand combo calls to mind the 62MAS family of divers.

It is. I love the watch but not the bracelet.

Yeah. It's got a little retro vibe.

That's a sweet Aevig. And I'm a sucker for a cushion case diver.

Thanks. This one ticks a lot of boxes for me. I love the applied indices and the unique font.

There's an orange dial Huldra on Chrono24 right now for a reasonable sum. I have been wanting an orange dial diver for some time...

I have to put the brakes on for a bit until I offload a few I'm not wearing.

Buy first, reason later

I'd probably pick up the green dial with gold accents, if I ever run across one cheap.

The price for an Erika’s keeps me away from them. I bought a WatchSteward for a Turtle and it is rock solid. I even took it on a long pool swim and everything stayed snug.

I have a few of them but they all came from WuS or r/watchexchange...I'm not paying new prices either. I like the Nick Mankey straps a little better and they're a little more affordable...just have to wait months for them.

Oh how I want a Tudor Milsub on a parachute strap. Like so many other things in life I wish I had bought one when I first had the itch when they were dirt cheap (relatively).

I've been kind of looking at Rolex 6538 or 5517 homages to scratch a vintage itch. Watch Experimental Unit makes cool ones:

Lemme spend your money for you. Skip the Cartier and just buy an example from the king of openwork: Vacheron.

I had a friend/client who had a open-worked watch made through the Les Cabinotiers department and while I am not a huge fan of openwork for me that watch was the most incredible example of watchmaking I have ever held in my hands. Their standard fare openwork watches are masterpieces as well.

Thanks, it's a beauty and I'm loving it. The size is perfect, the heft is just right but not overwhelming at 160grams, and the finishing is incredible.

Was just browsing Chrono24 and they offer in house authentication now.

I bought a Grand Seiko SBGY007 Omiwatari last fall from a dealer on Chrono24 and got a really good price for a near mint full set. Used the suggest a price button to negotiate. Prices are generally high on there across the board. You do have quite a bit of protection when buying from a dealer on there. I'd be careful buying from and individual or overseas.
