Pnels08:

That is what is called constructive criticism. No one is against that. He does need to nail a couple big time in the portal. But it’s the negativity when he does something positive for the team that irks me. It’s as if they want him to fail. So stupid.

Sounds as if you are extremely confident that we can win an NIT game after next season. Small steps.
What a thrill that must be.

The offseason threads from the past two years say otherwise. I can post a couple if you like?

Nice. Maybe we won't slide back to worst in the conference next season now.

Only three mentions of WW in this thread were by two mcmen. Strange how that always seems to be the case.

He’s the mythical excuse/deflection instrument the mcmen use for everything since they don’t believe McMahon can stand on his own merits.

He’s the reason for your negativity. Why wouldn’t he be mentioned. He’s your messiah. You are his apostles.

To actually post negative comments about signing 3 of the top 100 players in the country.

Geez, do the math! Top 100 in basketball is not remotely as impressive as in football. Why? Because as I've mentioned before, you basically have to multiply the basketball prospect ranking by 4 to get the equivalent football prospect ranking. That is because they are 4 times as many football 4* and 5* football players out of HS as there are basketball prospects ranked 4* or 5*. Oh, and before someone brings up my userid and my quoting of stars by recruiting services, I will point out again that it is harder for me to keep up with basketball guys than HS football players due to not as much coverage...so I just accept their rankings.

I've said this also. You really need to sign guys in the top 40 or so in basketball to get the real potential difference makers. Signing guys in the 50's, 60's, and 70's, you are going to have hit a diamond in the rough. I will say V Miller's offers were decent but a warning sign that University of Arizona didn't offer the local kid.

The only real positive is that in the team rankings LSU moved up to 13th HS only and 12th including the K State transfer.

Actually the Anti McMahon crowd acts just like the Biden crowd. I’m an LSU man and the Biden crowd shows their true colors when they downplay the commitment of a highly sought recruit.

There are about 25 five star basketball recruits per year and 5,500 total D1 basketball players. There are about 30 five star football recruits per year out of 15,000 total D1 players. Of course there are multiple classes of players but football keeps their 5* players for 3 years minimum while basketball loses a lot of 5* after one season. Not disagreeing or agreeing with you just trying to provide some clarity with the numbers.
