Without boomers there would be no millenials.

My buddy Danny had a quadraphonic stereo with four speakers, and a toggle shifter thing (second from the right, above) that would throw the sound from one speaker to another. I think it caused an epileptic seizure or two.

The Honda Elcenore 250 was the most desired motorcycle of the 70's. Growing up in Mississippi and Louisiana, we spent our weekends and summers in the woods. Some of us settled for the 125's, but we had no desire to own road bikes.

Born in 1965 so this was my era. I remember when clackers were outlawed. I believe it was Nixon. And one of the reason we weren't so fat back then is there wasn't fast food restaurants on every corner. It was a treat to go to McDonald's or Burger King, not a daily thing.
GI Joe, black lights and going to Spencer's in the mall and looking at the posters hoping they had the Farrah one so you could see, well you know what it was.
It was truly the best time to grow up and I feel bad for all of those who didn't get to experience it

7/15/65 checking in here. All these things are bringing back some great memories.

Sorry I have nothing to offer from the 70s at the moment. Just wanted to comment on this awesome screenname. That is freaking hilarious! Well played!

Tiddies were made in Pasadena Tx. I lived 3 miles from where they were made. It was an old metal building. It was a cool place to buy and visit.

I graduated high school in 1971.
My 12th grade physics teacher smoked a pipe in class. There was a smoking area behind the lunchroom and the head football coach smoked those nasty swisher sweets and would give them to his players if they were 16 and it wasn't football season.
Can't imagine the shitstorm that would create today.

Went to a catholic high school in Baton Rouge that doesn't exist any longer. We had a defensive coach that would get so mad on the sidelines I swear he could smoke an entire cigarette in one drag

I remember pulling shotguns out of the trunk in the school parking lot, looking at them.

My Mechanical Arts teacher brought his 44 mag to class occasionally.

WE had 2 guys in my class that brought rifles to school during deer season. Just left them in the back seat of their cars and nobody bothered them. After school they'd change into camo's and head to the woods.

How bout the gun racks in trucks. Everyone used to duck hunt in morning before school and go to school with guns in can on racks and ducks in back of truck
