Jemele Hill is gonna Jemele Hill, rails against Caitlin Clark

"The coverage that sometimes non-white women get, or specifically Black women get, is not even close. It’s two-to-one."
“Everything about this sport has been trending up for years now. It did not just start with Caitlin Clark, but they’re treating it like it did,” Hill, who now writes for The Atlantic, told the outlet. “And so it’s already creating a false narrative that is doing the public a disservice."
“If you look at WNBA ratings or women’s college basketball ratings, they have been exploding
for at least the last seven to (10) years — or I would even say five to seven if you want a shorter window. And so, it’s been proven that people really enjoy the sport. And I’m not completely convinced that the media understands the difference.”
She obviously doesn't understand the difference. How she has a job not named Burger King is beyond me.

Yet another women's basketball thread.
Thank you, OP.

Just looked it up. The 2022 title game had 4.85 million viewers.
And it isn't Caitlin. It's Caitlin and Angel.

She's one of the best shooters I've ever seen play the game, men included.

Monthly reminder that the WNBA has never made a profit and only exists because the NBA subsidizes it.

It's what she does. Picks on a generational player because the player doesn't fit her narrative. And I don't think the WNBA is exploding, maybe drawing larger crowds, although not at the arena's I have watched. I don't know why they don't play small venues, so the place won't look like a empty shell.

Jemele Hill is just never going to be happy living in America. There is nothing other than the total & complete extermination of White people that is going to give her any satisfaction. It must be miserable being her.

If I were starting it up today I would put the teams in places like Baton Rouge, Knoxville, and Storrs. Piggyback on the support for the good college teams.

I posted a few weeks ago. Their biggest and huge ratings were on par with usfl football and Canadian football if I recal

Bro, UCONN plays a bunch of their games in Hartford. They don’t even play a number of their games on campus. It is a small town. It couldn’t support a WNBA team (not that anyone can).

And you are paying attention to this clown. Sad. Thanks for giving her the outrage she wanted.

WNBA has only been trending upward the last 3 years
LINK
Prior to that they were stagnant/wavering.
This is misleading. "People" can mean anywhere from 2 individuals to 2 million.
If Jemele Hill is going to spend her time complaining about anything, it should be about why more women don't support the WNBA or NCAAW.
There are roughly 130 million female individuals living in the US that are 20+ years old. Even if only 1% of those women on average watched the games on television they'd be nearly on par with the NBA.
Not to mention how much revenues would sky rocket if these millions of women were buying merchandise.
So of all the things for Hill to complain about, her choosing race just further solidifies the fact that she is a talentless hack who can only stay relevant by stirring the pot.
