Landry is likely the lowest IQ governor we have ever had.
He needs to worry about the state's insurance crisis, roads and economy. 18-23 year old girls standing for the national anthem is not that important.
The womens team is never on the court for the anthem. He needs to get back to his coloring books.

Patriotism is the last refuge of a scoundrel. Landry beclowned himself.

He called for a new policy that would require athletes to stand for the National Anthem.
This isn’t right. How can you think it’s right to make a law that usurps your constitutional rights?

Being able to protest is a constitutional right. Conservatives always say that free speech is under attack, then turn around and freak out on people protesting the flag(even though the team didn’t even fricking protest). This is why politics are dumb
I remember my freshman year at LSU some liberal arts student said he wanted to burn an American Flag on the parade grounds, and while I still disagree with doing that, the older I’ve gotten the more I’ve also stopped viewing the 1000’s of kids that showed up to stop him as heroes.

What is wrong with having athletes demonstrate respect for the nation?
The fact you are asking this questions means you do not understand that it was not the PLAYERS who just decided to not stand for the anthem. This is so fricking stupid.
