I’ve heard the rule of thumb is 50 calories.
I hate all artificial sweeteners so I just drink my coffee black.

So... I intermittent fast. A couple years ago when I started, all I read were stories how it improved your health. I then saw this "study" and even in the study they note it's sketchy... basically.
Why would limiting food intake to an 8 hour period lead to any ill health consequences?
Anybody wonder why a dog usually gets fed once a day???

I’m a doctor and this is complete bullshite. Go ahead and google “caloric restriction + pubmed” you’ll find several articles proving that operating under a caloric deficit is the only known mechanism behind the attenuation of telomere shortening and aging as a result .
Pubmed is an excellent source of validated clinical data. You’ll find a plethora of data on intermittent fasting and DECREASE in heart disease risk factors.

For those that don't know, the Darkhorse podcast tore this to shreds last week. It was just an abstract that was somehow accepted into some health conference, there was no data or methods given (at that time) and several other abstracts from the conference are also complete bunk.

Intermittent fasting leads to the body burning fat for fuel.
less body fat = more heart disease?
not buying it.

They also say Ozempic and Mounjaro are better for weight loss than diet and exercise!
