She knew this team was flawed and knew they didn't have the toughness needed to reach the next level. She knows now they will spend all offseason with fahr in those bellies to kick that lilly white arse next year.

The clay she acquired this offseason was hardened and unwilling to be molded. Gonna find some new clay for next year and turn it into beauty.

She isn't perfect, but she doesn't make the same mistake twice.

You're proving LSUFanHouston's point with this thread.

Some of us realize that a trip to the Elite 8 isn't a disaster and great coaches never waste a defeat.

Good lord this is incredibly moronic. Coach Mulkey is ultra-competitive. Of course, she did not want to lose an opportunity to make it to the Final Four. You'd have to have been dropped on your head to think Coach Mulkey was fine with losing an Elite Eight game. I don't care how flawed you think the team might have been, every coach wants to have the opportunity to play for it all.

I hope this is a sample of the minority of fans. Otherwise we have the stupidest fan base in the world. Go back and look at the stats of the game. LSU did well everywhere except for one. 2nd chance points. You can't get 23 offensive rebounds and only score 14 points. That's it. That's the ballgame. Even with Clark going off. We beat them every qtr except for the 3rd qtr when there was a lid on the goal. Outscored us 24-13. That's. The. Game. It wasn't coaching. We dominated the boards just like we were supposed to do. We just didn't put it back in the 3rd qtr. If we do we likely win the game. Combine that with one of the best female bball players ever going off and you get a loss.

Will she be able to use it as offseason motivation? Yes. But she would never be fine with losing with the chance to go to the final 4. Losing to Colorado in nov Dec isn’t quite the same.

Sure... So is and elite 8, after an NC.. For a team that won 9 h=games the yrear befor she got here. Not 9 conference games... 9 games total.

I don't agree with you. If you watched her post game presser, she said only one team leaves happy and the rest are sad. She also said if you weren't sad, then you didn't invest much. I don't think she fine at all with the loss. She's not going to burst into tears talking about, though. I don't know what coach would.

She got this team to the Elite 8 in spite of losing players to injury or some other problem. They had to work darn hard to get there. She's proud of that, but she would have loved to be in the Final Four. I guarantee that and I think she's disappointed they couldn't get there.
