I thought this team would start 6-9 or 7-8 in conference at best, so the conference record hasn't been surprising.

Johnson hasn't figured out a go to lineup or defined roles in the bullpen yet and that has surprised me.

This team is starting to remind me a bit of early 2008 when everything was going wrong and they couldn't seem to catch a break.

Hey man, it’s great that we’re currently a bottom of the SEC baseball team.

I can assure you, I know exactly what I’m watching.

Well mr mad guy….what would you do? Instead of being a petulant child, offer some ideas. Because all of us have just accepted this bad baseball……

I think this team has zero leadership. Lost it all last year. They believe that they can put on that uniform and good things will just happen. The first thing I would do is have Ryan Theriot start running some portions of practice. Ryan has the fire that this team needs.

Here are a few of your gems from last season:

Describe this team in one word

Pretenders...

quote:

This is how a shitty staff works

Fify

quote:

It means provide answers about why this pitching staff is so bad

quote:

That’s great. Do you feel confident that this LSU baseball team with this pitching staff is making a long run into the late rounds of Omaha?

quote:

Yeah, losing Edwards and Shores hurts bad. But the fact that past them, this division one baseball team doesn’t have anyone else that can consistently throw strikes and get outs from the pen is inexcusable. How can every other pitcher be this fricking bad?

quote:

if we're going to win a national title.

Not bloody likely.

quote:

We are slumping as an offense that won't last. I still like our chances in the post season despite our pen.

I don’t

These are from ONE random page of your post history from last MAY. Imagine what I could find if I actually looked.

That’s what I was thinking as well.

Hopefully the second half of this season goes the same. That was so much fun following that win streak.

You are a pretty good baseball poster and I agree with the lack of consistency. As far as the 3 series losses, we were not far off from winning 2 of them. We win game2 and the Florida series if Ack doesn't throw the ball in the dirt on strike 3 of the 3rd out in the ninth, or if Milano handles it. All 3 of the Arky games were competitive and we could have won games 2 and 3 if a couple of plays go our way. White has a 3 run homer to give us the lead in 9th that ends up foul by a foot. Braswell lets a ground ball get under his glove at a crucial spot of another game. Arky made the timely and clutch plays. We did not.

LSU lost:

- 3 year starter, All-American 1B
- 3 year starter SS
- 5th year senior, utility man who was absolutely nails for the last 3 years
- 3 year starter, All-Everything, best position player LSU has ever had CF
- Saturday Starting P
- Friday, All-Everything, arguably best College pitcher ever, staring P

They lost Skenes and Crews. Everything else they lost is what we lose every year. The problem isn't what we lost, it's what we don't have to replace them. Other posts have been made about how abysmal our 2022 class was. That's the problem.
