Does anyone remember a story about Mulkey years ago that mentioned a woman friend moving in with her some time after her divorce? Made me wonder if she was gay or bisexual

This is a long time family friend from Hammond and no romantic relationship.

I don't think it was that bad.

One thing is for sure, Kim holds grudges.

How many lesbians does Kim Mulkey have to impact before the homophobe label finally drops?

I would imagine a career basketball coach has surely had a positive impact on hundreds

Didn’t find the article that bad at all. Actually found it to be almost complementary for 2/3.

It’s more about Baylor and their university views and Baptist culture

It was well known Augustus was gay at lsu and mulkey has been very supportive of her since she’s been at lsu

The article concludes that Coach Mulkey (because of grudges and has a demanding coaching style) is "alone." Total BS. Absolute fiction! Coach Mulkey has a loving relationship with her kids and grandchildren and has built her own life with many friends! AND....That's her PERSONAL business anyway. Furthermore, Griner is just a dope vaping whiner...She played at Baylor...a private Baptist college! What did she expect? I am so sick of hearing Griner whine! All this story did was made we realize two things: (i) the reporter is a douche and (ii) Coach Mulkey is tough as nails and I love her! Geaux Coach and Geaux Tigers! Forever LSU!

Kim put em on notice. Edited heavily. Mission accomplished. “They” can’t stand that a Christian, heterosexual, white, conservative, Southern woman won’t bend the knee and just keeps on winning and kids keep wanting to play for her. STTDB

Exactly as expected. Mulkey bad because she doesn’t believe what I think she should believe. Politics dominate everything.

I am surprised ESPN does not have this article as their lead story online and on TV.

May be true somewhat. But what most fail to consider: all these former players that are so willing to share negative experiences with Kim, she’s likely been totally tight lipped and unwilling to return the favor and set the record straight. Her players have not been angels through the years I bet.

I promise she shows them more honor than they show her

because its absolutely nothing, its not even a hit piece, more so a bio of her coaching career sprinkled in with some stories and quotes tied to Baylor's school policies

I think it’s pretty obvious that Mulkey’s threats landed. That couldn’t have been the original article based off of Pat Forde’s “circling the wagon” comment.

It was a pretty good article. Nothing new from a negative standpoint and didn’t hit that too hard. Lots of positive about her in the article.

Reacting to this article negatively will only point out the small portion that isn’t new and help others ignore the much larger portion that’s pretty positive.
