Why are fans defensive over the fact lsu has a fast track on their indoor facility? you’re acting like this is a Kent Babb hit piece.

And buddy, “slow” & “fast” in these instances are relative to a number of different variables.
Furthermore, players that choose to stand on a combine time is strictly a business decision. As the data shows they more than likely would improve their time. But it’s not worth the risk of an injury, or a stumble, or anything of that sort. If you are locked in, you always stay put.

Malik Nabers 4.35 official 40-yard dash at Pro Day

I’m well aware. I’m simply pointing out that the players who run at both are more likely to be players who know they can improve on their combine time, which will skew the data.
I should have said “sampling bias” rather than “selection bias,” though.

Buddy, I realize that it’s all relative. But I would like to know what variables lead to the conclusion that Danielle Hunter and Donte Jackson are slow, relatively speaking.

That doesn't prove your statement. I am guessing you know that, but just like to argue.

Put in your own words what you think that data represents
This should be good should you try and answer

No need to take it 100% literal. Not every single guy was “slow-slow”.
Jackson was just fricking around tho. He had it like that

Nabors ran a 4.4 on his second attempt. Not surprising to me that he can run a 4.4 on a stopwatch at LSU Pro day. Kid is a great athlete. Your data was interesting, the one I remember most is Adams running just under 4.6 at the combine then "somehow" improving to 4.33 at LSU Pro day two weeks later. He is a great player but prolly not a 4.3 guy.

Adams definitely got the biggest draft boost from it.
Guys like
Deion jones
Jeremy hill
Jarvis Landry
Morris Claiborne
Jalen mills
Danielle Hunter
Kevin minter
Also received nice boosts

Interesting that JD said he thinks he is faster than MN and BTj.

Morris Claiborne
Mo had been locked into a top 5 pick for some time. Has last year about every scouting report had him listed as "a better version of Patrick Peterson." The Cowboys had him the highest rated CB since Deion. His 40 time didn't do all that much for him, just helped solidify his spot.
Defintely wasn't better than Patrick Peterson or the next coming of Deion, but he ended up having a pretty decent career and got a ring.

15yrs of data does not discriminate
11 of those years had different turf at Lucas oil so they’re useless.
We have 4 guys that have ran at both since 2018 turf was installed and they’ve averaged .05 faster at LSU vs Lucas Oil.
Not exactly the sample size and variance that would suggest LSU is “notoriously” fast.

I think Nabers and Thomas Jr will be like the second comin of Jefferson/Chase.
Let’s not leave out OBJ and Juice Landry.
LSU likes to drop elite receivers into the league 2 at a time
