Toronto Raptors center Jontay Porter is out of the lineup and a subject of an NBA investigation into irregularities on prop betting involving him, sources tell @DavidPurdum, @ESPNWindhorst and me. Story soon.
Was it ohtani and his former interpreter laying those wagers?

We are only in the beginning stages of the gambling issues among players we are seeing in Pro Sports. Buckle up.

MLB let the Astros cheat to win the World Series, you can't tell me these leagues care about gambling.

How do these morons think it’s smart for them to place bets themselves. If you want to do this at least have a friend do it and give him a cut. These casinos didn’t get big by being dumb. You give these apps every bit of info about yourself down to your butthole color and they run that through some kind of database and look for hits.

1) gambling is way more accessible. Previously you had to travel to Vegas or find a local bookie.
2) there wasn’t much of a paper trail before with a bookie

NBA players have seemed very aware of their nightly props, I’m not really surprised

A real man would bet on his overs and go get that bread

I assume they aren’t that dumb. The probe started after Porter’s unders were the number one winning prop bet on the day twice when “coincidentally” he left injured or sick. If he were putting bets in his name, they would red flag it in a second.
