Sorry, not a single one of those cars touches this:
This isn’t a car show. You are remembering a time when gas powered cars were not sad, miserable, and over regulated shite boxes. Those days are long gone and are never coming back. There are seldom few vehicles with V8 engines and manual transmissions available anymore.
Not sure if you’ve noticed, but our highways are clogged with this bullshite now:
If they wanted us to love modern ICE vehicles, they’d make them better looking and better performing. They look like a bunch of angry toasters with way too much overbite. And most are as visceral and entertaining to drive as turning on a washing machine.
Most of the EV’s at least have decent proportions and appropriate dash to axle ratios. And you can tell the designers have a lot more freedom to do whatever they want because they don’t have to fit a huge engine and transmission over the front axle.
And I’d rather look at an ocean of Tesla Model 3’s or Blazer EV’s than another Nissan Altima doing 80 with its damaged front bumper cover flapping in the wind. Or hear another low IQ dipshit with a squatted pickup with no muffler.
And yeah….the EV’s usually perform so much better, offering instant torque and stupid fast acceleration. If we can get the costs down and figure out how to set up charging points everywhere- they will be ideal for most drivers.

It all depends on what you value. I rather go slower in a Porsche GT3/C8 Z06/Ferrari 296 with intoxicating body lines and have the visceral experience of the sound, the smell, the vibrations than quietly go fast in a straight line in mundane body shape.
To each their own...

Bugatti is coming out with an EV
Most of the major car manufacturers' EVs look very similar to the similar models available with an ICE to me
Toyota Highlander (top) to BZ4X full elctric
Honda CRV (top) vs Upcoming (sometime this year) Prologue
But I will say that plug-in hybrids seem like the way to go, to me. Plug in for urban use with a fuel tank/generator to provide range for trips. At least in most of the country that makes substantially more sense.
I think EVs would have had a much better reception if it had not been forced on everyone like we were moving toward the world envisioned by Rusn in the song Red Barchetta

The all electric companies have sweet looking rides. The legacy companies have the little tikes versions. Probably just to differentiate

Why are they blowing up for no reason. Firefighters are scared to put it out because they are so toxic

They are not. There are a couple very well known and understood reasons the storage unit experiences a thermal event.

They're "scared" because they are difficult to and time consuming to put out and they are not being properly equipped to do so. But while more severe, they burn much less frequently than ICE and even less than hybrids.

Because they are trying to make them look like 2050 futuristic

I mean, it doesn't look too bad.
Wait, being told that is a Camry.

Bugatti is going all-electric, IIRC.
Bad plan.

I’ll believe it when I see it. I feel like most of them are signaling this to get money to invest in the tech then pivot to hybrids once they have the electric side figured out.

Is it really though? They are such high-end expensive cars that no one uses them for long trips. So that may be a niche market that eats that up. In 2022 Bugatti sold 80 cars, which was up from the previous high of 67.

Maybe.
I really like the Prologue and the Blazer EV. Same chassis. Really good proportions and a creative design. The ICE Blazer and Passport are very meh.
I also recently rented an Ioniq 6 sedan which I think was a looker. Not as much of a fan of the Ioniq 5 hatchback.

Because they are liberal. They have that in common with liberal women.

Sorry, yeah, it was Bentley, not Bugatti.
Bentley has since announced plans to delay the all EV lineup.
Duh.

Well they have to build a car around the metric ton of batteries so the result is a space bubble.
