Credible sources confirm to UWK that Repath was punched one time while outside of Fred’s in the parking lot knocking him to the ground. That fall is what is suspected of leading to the traumatic brain injury.
Well that changes everything and makes this so muddy

But even further shows the dangers of bar fights. One someone is now a killer and one person is dead

ehhh, not necessarily. It being a one punch scenario there are multiple ways you wouldn’t be in legal trouble

A stomping on his head scenario? Toast immediately

Totally senseless. My heart goes out to his family.

I’m guessing the combatants from both groups were lighter complexioned like the deceased since there’s been so little media coverage.

That depends…..what will not help is getting removed from the bar and waiting.

It just comes down to who/what started the physical confrontation. I don’t think simply waiting outside takes away self defense

The video though should make this relatively straight forward I would think

You start physically assaulting me and I punch you and then you fall and die counsel

You start physically assaulting someone and I come to their aid and hit you and you fall and die

I’ve been to my fair share of college bars and towns and I’ve seen fights in damn near all of them. In fact one of the better fights I’ve seen was in the library in oxford.
Besides USC (California) actual campus LSU is the trashiest shittiest college bar situation i have seen. And I have been to over 50
Years ago I took a couple of ESPN production crew members on a duck hunt - they confirmed that very statement AND despite our level of football they said MOST of their folks hated coming to BR because of that.

You said multiple ways. Give us the legal argument or are you internet lawyering again?

Man if some of y’all are this shocked that a 26 year old at a bachelor party would be at Fred’s, y’all would lose your minds if you walked in there on graduation weekend

I gave you two very clear ways that anyone with a lukewarm IQ knows. You don’t need to be a lawyer to understand you aren’t automatically guilty for punching someone and they die

People use guns to kill others and they aren’t guilty of anything. Nothing I am saying is remotely controversial. Until we have far more info we can’t possibly say guilty or not guilty if it’s a one punch situation

Kiran said ‘one punch’ but the person in this thread that supposedly talked to the family said something about a ‘curb stomping’

We should probably wait til all the facts are released to start breaking down this incident. Small chance, I know

It might be time to close Tiger Land, it seems like every bar has had some kind of incident.
That whole area can be blown up and repurposed.

I was told by a worker that this married man started the argument and the group he was messing with got kicked out and waited for him outside

In my experience, when there was a fight between a group of students (possibly not the case here) and non students (the victim), the students never started it....

If they were younger people that liked going out to the college bars I could definitely see it

We have an awful college bar scene. It’s terrible
