Whenever it’s time to leave, I just leave my popcorn bucket, napkins, chicken box, and ice cup in the theater.

I feel like it’s basically job security for the people working there. If there’s nothing to do, more and more of the employees will get cut from the payroll. This is especially true since movie theaters are not doing well financially these days. They’re going to trim the fat any way they can, which most likely means using AI to replace all of the kids and force them to find another way to make ends meet. Robots will replace the ticket sellers, concession sellers, and clean up crew.

Am I wrong for thinking this?

You're trashy for doing it. Also inconsiderate. Are those things wrong? If the answer to either is yes, then it is wrong.

No, I actually bring trash from my home & car and leave it there. I get the whole family involved. We all bring trash and leave it.

Recently, a poster asked “when was the heyday of the OT?”

Today is not that day.

Its one thing to do what you did.

Its an entirely different animal that you tried to justify it

When I was in high school I worked for a guy who cleaned up the theater and some fast food restaurants after their closing time. Leave your trash, it’s someone else’s treasure so to speak.

When I used to work at a movie theater - I found a thong covered in nacho cheese

Absolutely a lazy, prick move. Putting your trash inside the already purchased popcorn bucket and tossing out at the theater entrance requires almost zero effort.

You toss your trash out of the car window on LA highways, don't you? Admit it.

You’re the SOB that leaves a dirty diaper on the ground in a supermarket parking lot, huh? Can’t even walk 10 steps to throw it away.

Definitely the right thing to do. I actually bring trash from home with me and leave it in the theater.
