Johnson deserves the heat but this is why I can’t stand this fricker or anyone in congress, it’s all about clips, tweets, and reelection.

Imagine being so bad at math that you think this.
And yes, Massie is also not much more than an attention whore like MTG at this point. He's just more intelligent than she is by several orders of magnitude.

Maybe they should all just resign before midterms.

Getting his nuts dusted by MTG.
I do not know why people cannot understand it will not go your way 100% of the time. You have to have a majority. Democrats have figured this out. They stick together no matter the storm.

I told you yesterday...Johnson could have brought a stripped down bill to keep the government funded. He didn't have to bring this monster to the floor.

Massie stumped pretty hard on behalf of Kevin McCarthy on the House floor immediately prior to the vote whether to ouster KM. Massie supported KMc. Perhaps someone could reconcile the distinction between KM’s situation and Johnson’s current situation.

What's the fricking problem? Looks like he is just getting feedback.

Its all a charade until you get larger numbers on your side, or much much better leadership at the very top of the party

That is right. Probably because he knew getting rid of McCarthy, at that time, would not improve things.

Yep.
shite we had that same argument here. These people were told they would turn on Johnson within months.
And they have.

Gridlock in this situation is a win.
So is a discharge petition from the Dems on single item bills.

I think so too. But unless I’m interpreting this tweet from Massie here incorrectly, which said interpretation is an underlying motivation not exactly to be helpful to Johnson (ie to drum up a little disfavor of Johnson as Speaker), if my interpretation is correct then why would Massie be handling what appears to be extremely similar circumstances in a completely different way?

The difference is that all the democrats want to destroy the country. For the Republicans, only the GOP wants to destroy the country. I don't think MAGA should stick with the GOP in this regard.

Why dont yall go third party instead of hijacking the Republicans?

I don't think he is going after Johnson. Just getting feedback.

Its a neutral tweet. I dont know what objectively you can read into it.
Posted on 3/23/24 at 3:41 pm to RogerTheShrubber
If he’s so good and could do better why doesn’t he ever step up? He didn’t.

Someone doesnt follow Massies voting record. He doesnt give a flying frick about feedback. He basks in his self-professed individualism. This tweet was an attempt to undermine the Speaker that replaced McCarthy, who he wanted to stay

That’s of course where my interpretation could be completely wrong, but what could possibly be a helpful or productive purpose for his posting an unofficial poll in such a “high profile” way, particularly at a specific time when Massie surely knows of the growing public sentiment against Johnson’s Speakership? I don’t see how it could be expected to do anything but net damage to Johnson, to some degree or another.
