Why are Biden/Dems allowing new student loans?

Biden and the Dems say the student loans are predatory and people can't possibly repay them. So why are they allowing more people to take these loans today? Shouldn’t they shutdown all future student loans?

How much is interest these days, they could have kept them at zero percent interest easily, that would have helped people more

You expect common sense from an old man with dementia who can't get to the toilet without shitting himself?

FedGov took over student loan ownership in 2010, loan balances exploded. College costs increased. I was involved in the Information Security portion of a state bidding for the work.
The cost of university, loans, has been very closely tracked for decades. Nobody wants to hear it, even though it's reality. Where did that lazy river around the student center get paid from? Don't ask questions, take selfies, and bitch about your loan five years from now.
But they/them needs the Early American Women's Studies degree from an Ivy that costs $200k. Gotta fulfill wants of your electorate.
Where are the loans for the trade schools? Most of them will make far, far, more than most college graduates. I never would have gotten a degree if I knew how much I could make owning a trades business.

Planting another crop to harvest with promises of "free" in future elections.

But they don't even need it. They've dumped almost 10M (ETA: illegals) in blue states to change apportionment, and there will be further anchor babies which make it more in their favor. They shouldn't need to buy off 10k borrowers every few months. It's cemented after the next census.

It’s simple. Cripple the younger generations with debt from out the gate so they can’t gain wealth as quickly while simultaneously leaving more wealth on the table for the older generations of the ruling class to hold onto. Most will struggle to repay the loans, and that is done intentionally. Because then you just keep promising them their student loans will be forgiven if they vote blue. Congratulations, you now have a young broke fool under your complete control.

Make it simpler than that. People that don't have kids have no idea of the future and their obligations, and they'll agree to anything.
I watched plenty of enlisted dummies take out $700 car loans (monthly pay $1000) and get to work fast food jobs on the side to pay the note. Yet, there were Pilipino dudes that spent every weekend at the barracks, and could afford to send almost all of his money home.
Choices. There isn't a need to overcomplicate this into some sort of conspiracy. Kids are going to vote blue, no matter who (look that phrase up.) Women are going to vote blue. It doesn't matter what anyone does.

because they don’t give AF about anything except getting votes to remain in power

These loans are another wealth redistribution tool in their toolbox...

Because it’s about buying votes not fixing the actual problem.

Federal student loans (the ones the government wants to forgive) are capped. Undergrad limit total is $31K for dependent students, and $57K for independent students and dependent students who have parents who don't qualify for a PLUS loan.
So that $200K is, at most, about 25% covered with federal backed student loans.

Same program, chief.

If they could find a way to get free college for everyone, they would.
This is the next best thing for them.
