He never talked about how he came up with Spiderman until 1992 and how it was almost fly man in 2002 after Spiderman 2 came out. No one gave a shite about marvel entertainment until they had to sell the rights to fox and Sony

If you want to believe everything Stan Lee says then go right ahead. He exaggerated shite and made things up much like Hulk Hogan does. He's a hype man. There's a reason Stan Lee is a house hold name and Jack Kirby isn't and it's not because Stan Lee was more creative or more important. He was a shameless self promoter.

I don't think that no one gave a shite, but there are many reasons they had to sell the rights. The comic industry had some extreme highs and lows in the 90s.

Well, looks like this was officially a flop. In retrospect, should have seen this one coming. I really enjoyed the show, but you cannot expect a show geared to 40+ year old guys using a 30+ year old story to have mass appeal. Kids were always the market for animation and comics -- especially young boys. Once, creators lost sight of that, everything went to shite and even good products failed.
This show was written for old nerds like me, and I am thankful it exists. But we are a small niche and not big enough to make a show a success on our own/
At some point, you have to dumb things down a little and jangle some keys to get the mass appeal needed in such a crowded marketplace. Just reality I guess.

WTF are you talking about? I’d hate to imagine that the only group of people that think this show isn’t woke are a group of people that post on the Movie/TV board on Tigerdroppings, of all places. Outside of the beginning of The Mandalorian and Andor this is the best thing Disney+ has put out. Mickey Mouse isn’t out to get kids with X-Men 97, someone would have to be a miserable person to come to that conclusion after watching the first season.

In what world are you living in? 43 year old men like myself have children, 11 year old son to be exact and he loved this show. He hasn’t watched any of the X-Men movies yet, but he loves the Marvel Universe. This opened up an 11 year old kid to the X-Men and I’m pretty sure that was the goal.

When did Rouge and Jubilee get so powerful? Last I remember Rouge just sapped powers and Jubilee just put on light shows. Now Rouge is practically Superman and Jubilee was the only one that really damaged the robot dude.

I don't think it's comparable to compare X-Men 97 to the live action MCU shows either. Animation in general is going to have a smaller audience IMO. Especially if it's not a feature film.
Measuring success for this shouldn't be the same as measuring success for Ms. Marvel or Echo or whatever MCU show.

That is very true. For example, I consume basically everything Star Wars related, but I just never could get into any of their animation shows. Animation will always have a smaller audience.
