I use my HSA to get a new pair of prescription costas every now and then

I have multiple pairs of Costas including some Zane's I wore exclusively for over 10 years. They have all been replaced by Maui Jims. The lenses are just better.

Is Costa Del Mar worth buying in 2024?
It depends on your priorities. Costas are the highest quality glasses that I have ever owned. If you value well built products, you should consider a pair.
On the other hand, if you are constantly losing your stuff or jus don’t place a priority on that kind of quality, you should probably opt for something cheaper.

Broke mine during hunting season. Submitted a claim that got denied but they did give me a voucher for 50% off a new pair so I was ok with that considering it was my fault and I was just testing the system

Tried the shady rays route and loved how they look, only issue is that the lenses are 'coated polarized' and over time the coated will flake off.

In fact, right now Steve McQueen Persols are 179 bucks.
Those things are fricking hideous.

580g lenses are still good but their frames are cheap the rubber pieces disintegrate and getting them warrantied is a shite process now. Maui Jim’s, Fin Noir, Smith’s are my current favorites.

People that wear those are like people that wear Hoka shoes. Secure enough in their comfort to not care that they look like complete fricking dorks.

Blenders are where it’s at

White Oakleys are the only way to go for a true Baw.

Do they still have lifetime warranty? Mine are 20+ years old. Have sent them in 4 times and only paid postage
Same. Between replaced lenses and frames, I’m prob on my sixth pair. Not a bad deal.

Sorry you’re poor.
Sorry you lack reading comprehension skills. I said I wouldnt if they were just bullshite straight off the rack.
The sunglasses I have right now cost me $350 (legit) because I was able to customize them to my needs. They are polarized, scratch resistant, ANSI-Z87, prescription glasses with blue light protection.
Piss off kid.

I would say the opposite. You seem to have had a great experience with their warranty department and I will say that I have had awful times with them. I wouldn't buy another pair due to the service department. They want about 10-15 dollars handling fee when they look at them and they always tell you some bullshite about needing new lenses. I had a lense that was chipped and scratched due to the rubber melting away between the frame and lens and they charged me 75 to replace lenses and then they put the wrong lenses in them.

I like Hobie's... but only because they fit my face well. My prescription sunglasses are oakleys, again, because they fit well. I like Maui Jim's but I can't find a pair that fits well. So for me, sunglasses are a tool, and well, I really don't care if my tools are stylish, I care that they work and the hobies and oakleys fit the bill. I wish the hobies I like could be had in prescriptions. I was told I could buy aftermarket lenses for them but I haven't looked into that.

They still have quality lens so if you like them and don't lose glasses regularly then get them. I still have Revos from 25 years ago and Vuarnets from much farther back so I always feel like I get my fair use out of them. I prefer Persols today and don't like most of the CDM frames but they are good sunglasses.
I can speak for those brands as well as I own pairs of all of them.
My go-to is a pair of Salt Optics. Great sunglasses and another company that takes care of its' customers.
