For some reason, people with really big mouths can sing better.

I got thru the first page without seeing any mention of the greatest frontman of all time, Mr. Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin.

Are Stevie nicks vocals really that great? I don't think they are any better than Alanis

yeah

oversight

the 80's will be overlooked because of all the influx and electronics which replaced vocals in too many treands

that the vocal giants of the era arent given enough credit

It was for a short time but I’d put Ian Curtis up there.

Best lead singer in my life that also died and has an unaddressed pedigree.

A modern example of that is Josh Kiszka. He is like 5'6" but when he opens his mouth you could put a volleyball in it and not touch teeth.

By far the best musician of my lifetime. Not the best lead singer though.

Freddie Mercury & Janis Joplin

Freddie Mercury was damned near savant level with his ability to hit and hold notes cleanly. Listening to some of his vocal tracks is like sitting in a master class on singing ability. We Are the Champions vocals

Janis had an insanely great grit to her voice but could pull it back at will. She injected a lot of soul into her singing, the rawness of her grit injected a certain kind of energy into her music that's hard to find. Janis covers the Chantel's "Maybe" - vocals only

Going a bit against the grain here, but…

Daryl Hall

And love me some Heart, but Linda Ronstadt’s voice was perfection.
