Sounds like a good idea to me. Change the "Gun Free Zone" sign to "Teachers are Packing". The little cowards will go some where else. Those cowards never go to "Gun Friendly" zones to do their foolishness.

This is a terrible idea. And I am about as pro gun as you can get.
Teachers as a group are among the most woke and irrational people on the planet. And you want them to carry in their classrooms?
You do realize most are hardcore LGBTQ/commie types right? Not too mention about half of them are on some kind on antidepressant drug. They are more likely to injure themselves or a student then fend off some attacker.
This would be a disaster. Some of you people cannot think critically.
Hire armed guards and require them in each school like Texas is doing. Harden the doors and all entry points. That is the most effective way.
Maybe the coach can carry and a select few teachers. But the majority of those nervous looney women fumbling with gun in their purse?
Do you want all guns to be banned? This is how you get all guns banned.

I have to agree. While I agree that on the whole teachers as a group are more liberal than the general public, for the most part they reflect the red state values in the red state areas, and blue state values in the blue state areas just as any other group in the US. There is nothing inherently wrong with painting with a broad brush, the problem is that the result is invariably sloppy as all hell.
As the husband of a teacher and librarian in the public schools for almost 20 years now, I can tell you for a fact that she has become a shield for the kids against all the rainbow people bullshite in many, many ways. But she gets shite on just like the blue hair indoctrinators?
