Has Tommy White’s surgery hindered him more than we anticipated?

Curious why his two strike stance changed this year. Seems to have worked pretty well last year for it to have gone away. Radio announcers have been questioning lately as well.

It seems like everyone else on the team is more patient at the plate and gets the pitchers deep in the count. Tommy stands out with first and second pitch swings at anything within range, often resulting in ground outs or pop ups. It’s like he feels he can hit any pitch out of the park if he can touch it, so swing!

Do you how many people would love to be so called struggling while batting over .300?

I think he’s pressing a little bit. It’s a contract year for him and with the lack of ABs in the fall, it’s added up to a bit of a slow start. I also think the pitchers are pitching a bit different to him. He seems to be getting beat on inside pitches more often. I think the scouting report is to bust him inside and he hasn’t adjusted yet. He’ll eventually figure it out.

He will heat up when it matters down the stretch. Expect more game winners by the Tanks
