What kind of bird is this.

Saw him in my front yard. I don’t remember ever seeing this species before. It’s a really good looking bird. What is it?

They're everywhere around here.
We've got a dozen bluebird houses out for them around the property so they return every year. Plus we put a lot of seed out for them.

I have a male and female that have made a nest on my back patio for 3 years now. Research shows that their usually monogamous.

If you are close enough to feed him, offer 4x cr2032 batteries for a snack. They like those best and usually need recharging every 6-12 months.
