Sure. Nothing like transportation, and information exchange, and the like has changed since then.

Maybe we should go back to sail boats and only communicating with hand written letters too.

If you're a non-China based producer and US fedgov just raised the effective price of your Chinese competitor's prices in the world's largest market by 30%, and assume that you're starting at a 10% landed (US) cost disadvantage relative to the Chinese - how are you going to price your output in the US?

Sir we advanced as a nation and ability during those times. You aren't making a point that carries any weight.

Apple would still become a company with or with out. Just like our other inventions and progress during those times.

Well, the more the domestic manufacturer lowers their margins, the greater the price differnce, amiright? So like they could cut their prices by 30% and then they'd have a 40% price advantage. Duh!

Yes, focusing on an economy of the 18th century is exactly what leads to innovation of the economy of the 21st century.

It's backwards to have more money? To rebuild the critical needs of the nation? To not be dependent on a nation that literally hates the USA and is actively trying to bring it down?

Yeah... That's sounds GREAT! Give it to me.

The economy will produce less, so we'll all have less money.

Wrong. The Federal Gov has always been involved. It was the Federal Gov that ruined complete cities and towns all across America.

I realize that you don't give a SHITE about Americans. They should just adapt right. 50 years old and Job moves DUE TO GOV and it's HIS fault.

Well guess what... You can now adapt.

It wasn't just the 18th century. It was less than a century ago. Your argument hold ZERO weight and you can't even counter the fact that APPLE would still have invented their products.

Advancing means less mfg and hourly wage jobs, more entrepreneurship.

If I were smart, I would have bout a bunch of stamped thermos from China, stick a hipterish label on them, give to vapid influencers to promote them made a fortune on gullible white chicks.

TVs, Radio...etc. We nor any nation was going to advance from Point "A" to point "Z" with out the in between steps.

Again. You can't post a rational argument to the contrary.

BTW... We did not revert back to the 18th century under Trump and his tariffs. /Thatendsit

Wrong, I'm not for gov building anything. I'm for companies do the work and making the profits. Biden wants the FED GOV to do it.

Nothing like Biden. Is that all you got. An argument easily rebutted?

LOL! We can have it all. Why are you trying to suggest we can't?

What a narrow view!

That's what y'all want.

We evolved beyond the mfg economy.

Yes, some people are being left behind. That's on them.
