It was a 6-1 game with no one on base in the 6th inning of a game in March. It was way over the top for the moment.

It was his 14th strikeout of the game against the #12 team in the country that beat them yesterday. He’s an emotional pitcher. I don’t see how this is a big deal at all.

There is a lot of fake emotion in there. All of those antics are unnecessary. He got lit up like a Roman candle in the SEC. His demeanor doesn’t work over the course of a long season.

I’m not trying to argue if his demeanor works over the course of a season, but he has always been like that. Guidry has a very similar demeanor. Burns is an extremely good pitcher. I’m not sure why LSU fans care so much about him.

He's started 4 games for them if a nil transfer is your emotional leader then I'll go ahead and say this team lacks leadership.
He is just carrying nonsense he was allowed to do a Tennessee over to wake.

Good luck to them

See the thing is that you probably don’t know anything about Chase Burns. Gavin Guidry is very emotional. Tommy White has some of the worst body language I’ve ever seen on a baseball field. We don’t know any of those guys or anything about the teams’ dynamic and leadership.

He’s a high level college pitcher and going to be a top draft pick and people on here are going to act like they wouldn’t want him on our team because he yells when he comes off the mound..

It’s March dude. He wasn’t getting out of a jam. He wasn’t preserving a tight game. He had a similar psycho moment last week in a similar inconsequential situation.

Not really. Guidry is certainly cocky but he doesn’t act like Burns

I didn’t claim that anyone said that he wasn’t good… there is literally someone is this thread saying how they are so happy that he didn’t come to LSU.

It was a 5-4 game in the 9th inning with 2 outs and the go ahead run at the plate

That strikeout literally won the game. You realize context is kind of important right? Burns acted like that with a 5 run lead in the 6th inning with no one on base.

It was his 14th fricking strikeout of the game against what he knew was probably going to be his last batter.. and he yelled too much at the wrong time for you? Damn some of y’all care about the dumbest stuff

You comparing the last out of a close game to a random strikeout in the middle of a game?

It was also LSU's world series so I've heard.

Y’all are right. I forgot that players can only be emotional when TD posters think they should be emotional

Wake forest pitching is starting to get cringe. Guess that’s what you get from a program that is new to winning

He had just given up a solo home run to cut the lead to 1 with 2 outs. Then put a runner on base. He was really close to blowing that save against "little brother" and wouldn't have heard the end of it probably ever. I'd be happy too

I agree. I like passionate baseball a whole hell of a lot better than "act like you've been there, don't celebrate like you want to" baseball. These are kids. If I was a D1 pitcher at 18-22 I'd be going buckwild after I struck out 14 batters in one game regardless of which month it is!

I know that.

It was the sixth inning…in a 6-1 game…with nobody on… in March… and he just flipped the frick out.

I understand being excited about the K, but good God.

Also, it’s still Duke
