The only possible way he could be ruled out is if he didn't get to the bag. The only way he wouldn't have gotten to the bag is if the second baseman obstructed him (prior to getting the ball) from getting to the bag. That would be interferrence. Just a terrible call.

He was. That wasn’t close. I was sure he was safe when I saw it live. He clearly was on the bag when the second baseman received it and before he swiped. I can’t believe the review upheld that.
